This was pretty much the scene for the day. From the opening possession, John Abraham wouldn't be denied as he and Freeman met on several occassions during the course of the game. Matt Ryan on the other hand wasn't too happy about the offense's production. "I'm not liking how we turn it up in the second half. We need to be consistent for four quarters." Luckily, the defense held up their end of the bargain and played D-Block style football which caused all types of chaos on the field.

The D-Block Boyz contributed to 3 Picks, 11 QB-Tackles and 2 Forced Fumbles. Freeman never truly got in rhythm with his receivers at all this game. D-Block's leader, Curtis Lofton had this to say.. "We want to be able to stop the run. After that, we'll worry about the pass. Today, hopefully was a sign of the things on the way for this organization." The Atlanta offense exploded (no homo) in the 4th quarter in a game that was tied 10-10, by putting up 5 TDs from the Jones's.. Julio caught 3 and "Made In" Taiwan Jones scored 2 TDs in the 4th, after scoring 1 in the first quarter..

Roddy White ended up getting hurt in the second. That kinda put a strain on the offense. Ryan became a bit inconsistent and Julio was pressed all game. Tony G made a few plays and Harry Douglas didn't really contribute much. But Atlanta's running game garnered over 100 yards on the ground with 3 scores and the passing attack accrued the same number of TDs. "Hopefully we can do a better job when teams press us, it didn't work out for us well today. But, we got the W, that's what matters." The other thing that mattered, was Atlanta's edge rushers. Together they had 7 of ATL's 11 QB-Tackles, Abraham registering 5 of them all by his lonesome. "We're out here with some to prove" said the Predator. If the defense keeps this up, and the offense keeps generating these points, this might get ugly in a record breaking season for a few Falcons.

Falcons Fight Elements, Lobby, Mozzarella.. Lose 49-46 in OT

This what happened in Giants Stadium...



Afterward, the Giants was quoted as saying "We don't know the highlight rules, so we don't use the highlight stick." True story, lol.
Falcons look to rebound against Minnesota next week. D-Block is pissed. They couldn't really get pressures due to the quickest of slants. The Giants line though, was phenomenal. Atlanta didn't muster any offense in the first half.. Losing 28-2 at Half. But scored 44 Points in the second half and pushed the G-Men to overtime, 46 all. In OT, Taiwan Jones fumbled in the rain and the Giants kicked a FG on the very next play to win.

Falcons lose to Vikes ; D-Block Responds with 15 QB Tackles in next 2 games.

Matt Ryan doesn't like to lose, I don't think anybody does, but it happened. Regardless of that, the Vikings saw the Falcons have a rare 4th quarter meltdown in which they took advantage of. Short pass plays turned into TD plays of big YAC. AP finally broke a long run off as he was bottled essentially all evening. The next game Atlanta played Dallas and Matt Ryan had one of his worst pro games. He completely a little over 50 percent of his passes and amassed over 300 yards. A controversial called erased a 65-yard Roddy White TD, so Matt finished with 0 TDs and 2 picks.



Afterwards, Atlanta went to take on Oakland in another home game and Matt Ryan responds very well to adversity. After having by his standards a "horrible game", Ryan responded by throwing and completing 67% of his passes for 391 yards and 3 scores, 0 turnovers. Turner added 2 scores on the ground late to ice the game. But the game was based off of D-Block's ability to create turnovers and rush the passer. They've amassed 15 QB-tackles in their last 2 games. Ray Edwards has 8 in 2 games. He's caught up and passed Abraham. Edwards has 13 of "those" on the season, Abraham has 10. It's remarkable because, they're 10 games left. Abraham has been known to force fumbles when he gets home and plans on doing that continually. One thing is for certain, if this keeps happening, D-Block's gonna hurt someone's QB... D-Block!!

D-Block Bails out ATL Offense ; Force 9 turnovers @ CAR



It was a very rainy and terrible looking game day situation, but the D-Block boys didn't care. Even though Matty Ice had a record-setting day, throwing 5 picks in the same game for the second time in his SFL career, he didn't have to worry. The offense didn't truly suffer even though they only scored 27 points. They held the football for 28 minutes of the game, to Carolina's 12. Ryan also connected on 3 TD passes (Roddy, Julion, HD) and Robby Bironas connected on 2 FGs (even though he missed a 58 yarded against the wind), they still found a way.

The way they found the win was on defense. Atlanta usually gets credit for what it does on the offensive side of the rock, but defensively they are no slouches and numbers may be misleading. They are very adept at taking away the football. They proved it by picking off Cam Newton 6 times and forcing 3 fumbles. "Uncle" Ray Edwards, "Spoon" and the "Predator" all contributed to QB-tackles. The Falcons were all over the field and it showed. If their defense can somehow match their offense with that production, there's a good chance, they'll be going back to the Superbowl..

Ryan & Tony G put up #'s ; Show Saints who's NFC South King

Matt Ryan had another great game, just with a single blemish on his stat sheet (1 INT by Roman Harper.. which is how you know, it's Madden). Other than that Matty Ice completed 70% of his passes for 331 yards and 3 scores and scored the Saints secondary repeatedly as he went 28-40 on the evening.

Tony Gonzalez


Being that Roddy and Julio were double covered and Harry dropped passes. Julio in single coverage decided to do the exact same thing. Matt had no choice but to lean on the most prolific TE in the SFL, Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez recorded 16 receptions (SFL Falcon Team Record) for the night to the tune of 174 yards and a clutch TD that broke a tie game late in the 4th quarter.

Roddy "The Button" White


Roddy was himself, doing what he needed to do to help the team win. Him and Julio both scored, but Roddy ran some of the crispest routes in the history of the world last night, including his TD catch late in the game with 3 Saint defenders in the area, he truly exhibited that greatness that is over here in Atlanta.

Falcons go to Macaroni Land, San Diego ; Whoop Macaroni's Candy a--



The Falcons caught wind of the nonsense that Macaroni Millz had been saying behind the scenes. Stating that he was going to make an example out of Atlanta by destroying them. Apparently, the people in Flowery Branch heard this and ended up calling Matt Ryan and company. Matt and the Falcons boarded the plane determind to shut Macaroni up. They did just so, scoring 44 points on a porous defense that could not stop a nosebleed, if he couldn't get his almost nano pressure to try to hurt Ryan. There was 1 casualty in the game. D-Block's second-in-command Sean "Spoon" Weatherspoon got hurt with 4 minutes left in the game and will be out of action until the playoffs.



The Falcons ended up getting massive amounts of pressure on Millz in the 1st game, forcing all kinds of errant passes and intercepted throws from Philippe Rivera. Once the game dropped because of Mac's "Grieving" and it restarted, Atlanta could not regenerate that pressure. But yet in still, when D-Block needed to get to the QB, they did. They still forced 2 picks, forced a fumble and Ryan threw for about 375 yards and 4 scores. Roddy and Harry were the culprits this time around.




Roddy continuously destroyed SD's slow and autistic corners all game long. In reality, for 6 quarters.. Roddy amassed a boatload of yards and TDs, but at the end of the day.. Roddy still put up #'s, because he is the "Button". I will be a good sport and tell Mac "GG" because he did try to play a sim styled game. He did very well running in the open field and using the highlight stick. So strides are being made... but not enough to guarantee to defeat Atlanta... Don't call out D-Block... You might just get Got...
