Mike Wang's 3pt shooting tweak went live this morning. I haven't tried it for myself yet, but so far i'm hearing a lot of reports that its way harder now.

People are getting way less green releases from 3, other than the corner 3. Lets get some feedback going for Mike over the next couple of days.

I'll do some testing myself in a few.

I personally think this was done so anybody that has low 3pt ratings can't shoot 3s well.

I don't mind because I use the midrange more than 3 by a whole lot (shot creator my main player: use him 90% of the time.)
Only time I shoot standing 3s is in corner.

I don't use moving threes anymore because they were nerfed heavily.

I played with one random who left his man (sharpshooter; like 91 overall and all badges HOF but Midrange Deadeye) wide open and he shot 3/7. The random was a rookie 4 70 something overall btw.

This is the worst shooting tweak yet - my sharpshooter can barely green in my own practice court now.

So after playing a few My Team games online and shooting around in practice....WOW....3's really took a HEAVY hit.

Shooting with guys that have 95+ 3pt rating and i couldn't green any 3 other than the corner 3. Paul George has the easiest release in the game and used to green everything for me before. Now he doesn't green anything anymore.

I think the hit to open 3s is a bit too much. If wide open, then i should be able to green a bit easier.

Totally messed up, this wasn't a tweak this was a monumental shift. To play with this change I would literally have to change how I've played every 2k game ever.

Change it back until you can get it right. Really all you need to do is dial back contested, fadeaway, and corner threes and stop bigs with high midrange be able to hit the corner ones.

Dude. This is rough af. I usually don't complain and I never beg for tweaks and changes online. In fact, I have tons of disdain for crybabies here on OS and elsewhere. But this is just insane. I'll adjust, but this seems drastic as hell.

Well good thing is he said he would be looking for feedback on the weekend so he will probably tweak it again - the thing about 2k is that they tweak things by extremes. Is either too easy or too hard. Not sure why they can't find a balance.

I mostly use my lockdown and i have been shooting pretty great with him from the corners - but i'm willing to sacrifice that aspect in order for the game to be balanced. The main thing that bothers me is that many people increased their 3 on their players to take advantage of the past shooting meta - now with it being changed we all pretty much lost how many upgrades?. And that's quite an unfair thing - we should be able to atleast get our upgrades back when such changes occur. So we can readjust our playstyle. Would that be too much to ask?. (Probably yes since 2k is money hungry).

But yea - you have to realize how this affects many archetypes from a wasted upgrades perspective. It's not our problem you can't balance your stuff. If you will make it impossible to make 3s - then don't give us low rated 3 guys even the option to upgrade. Because what's the point?. To hit 3/10?. Not worth it.

The thing is - my main complaint is limitless range - i just feel like people sinking very deep 3s consistently is cheap as hell. I would kind of rather that sharpshooters can hit contested 3s a bit better than limitless range 3s.

Because it's just SOOO much ground to cover on defense - and since most archetypes are slow and have low defense (coupled with the sluggish defensive movement) it's a consistent thing for sharpshooters to be left wide open on these deep 3s. If defense was better i wouldn't mind - but it's just not. Not to mention brick wall cheese. And archetypes like playmakers that can easily get past most people so you have to be forced to constantly switch or give up easy points.

But anyways - yes you can defend it - but with randoms is quite an annoyance. Those are the main issues for me when it comes to shooting.

Normal 3s i don't mind - because it's a more realistic ground to cover. Heck in some way i rather they sink all open 3s from normal range - then they sink limitless range 3s consistently. Because again - it's a more realistic ground to cover - it doesn't make it as horrible for us people who play with randoms and constantly have to help on defense.

You don't do something this drastic this late in the release after we've already formed a style of play based on how the game plays. Also you don't get customers excited about great shooting cards, have them spend hundreds, thousands on packs and then pull the rug out from under them. The game is broken right now, you might as well play Bill Russell at PG.

played some pro am and park. The 3pointer GREENS took a big hit from top of the key. Corner shots and midrange are still easy greens for my shot creator and sharp.

Its a real drastic change, because sharpshooters did build gameplans around shooting far away after stepbacks/speedboost with or without brickwalls. Also pro am teams build strategies stretching the floor extremly far which is prevented by this a little bit.
I have to do some more observation about the % of 3s going in that are white releases, but I am very positive so far.
It seems that we go into a direction where shooting exclusively from limitless range as a sharp are gone because now it would be more of a 40-60% shot instead of 80% as it was when open.
Inside game gets more valuable, and it really should be!! thats the right way, right direction. Stop whining because shooting feels harder.. it is and should always have been harder.

I'm a Park/Pro- Am only player only. good park record and elite 4 pro am team so far. I also know that I am in the minority with this thoughts about shooting, but I would like it stay like this, or maybe lighten it up by a very little margin from the 3pt arc. but please dont bring back lights out shooting as it was.

its not hard to hit a single three. its just hard to hit EVERY single three thats open. Now it seems that it depends on more factors then just being open for a split second and release the ball as a sharp.

And I am playing Sharp as my main in pro am, our team shoots over 70% for 3 in 85 games played. Our glass and lockdown both are on 70% 3pt or slightly below. That was totally nuts and made the game stupid.
Now its better, from my point of view.

Sharp/Playmaker/Shotcreator can still hit a good amount of 3s, easy greens from the corner but no greens as it seems from top arc for shot creator and playmaker.
Sharp can still green even from limitless range if everything comes together like a good pass badges and so on. But it feels much harder.

I am glad they toned down the green releases, but the above the break 3 point shooting is not realistic. A wide open 3 point shot with an 80 plus shooter should be a little more conistent. This is on HOF, with the updated rosters. Have no idea about mypark, proam or lower difficulty levels. I like the direction they are going, but its to much . Keep the green releases as low as possible, but increase the percentage of non green above the break threes.

Agent has only made 1 green release from 3 out of like 40 shots - i'm kind of enjoying this since people like him are always bragging about being the best. He has missed quite a lot - as well as the teams he plays agaisn't.

I don't care about MyPlayers, as long as both sides play with the same rules it doesn't matter but in MyTeam you want Steph Curry to play like Steph Curry and even a little better because it's a video game. And people are dropping loads of money on cards that they thought could do certain things and a lot of that was taken away for now. 2k has gone overboard in MT with OP cards in order to make money, they can't dial it all back now and act like they want ultra-realism.
