What's wrong with College Basketball?

What funny is that this is what Red Auerbach predicted 25 years ago which started the feud with him and David Stern. By promoting players over teams, the players would gain all the power and eventually corrupt the system, which would lead to bad basketball. That is exactly what happened.

Interesting. I also hate the one-and-done rule. I think that NCAAB needs a rule like college baseball in which players either go for the pro draft right out of high school or have to wait until their junior years to come out.

I'm 100% all for this. The one-and-done crap needs to go away. It does nothing to help the game. College basketball will survive just fine if guys like John Wall or Kevin Durant never play at that level. Use that scholarship on a kid that really does want to go to college and play ball. If more and more high school kids try the NBA right away, so what. That's their choice. If they don't make it, like a Korleone Young, go play ball in Europe for a couple of years and expand your horizons a bit.

I can't see the NCAA ever doing away with the summer recruiting circuit. AAU itself is not going anywhere, so worst comes to worst you just have more runners (for schools), etc.

No matter what rule changes are made, agents and coaches will always find gray areas and ways to bend them.

The level of play has really fallen off a cliff. Looks like a TON of one and done's this coming year as well.

I'm losing interest.

I don't think a rule like college baseball would work....And at this point I think the age restriction for the NBA just needs to go.

I agree. but it is what it is. unless something is done about it nothing is going to change.
