Opening kickoff

I've tried searching the forum but haven't found an answer.
I've probably played 14 or so games in cfm in coach mode all-pro
Maybe it's just a coincidence but my team is always kicking off.
Is anyone else seeing this? I'm playing on PS4

If your setting is set to defer if you win the toss the CPU almost always chooses to receive so you're almost guaranteed to kickoff. Seems like I kickoff every game.

If you want a bit of a variety switch your primary choice to receive.

(At least that's the way I see, I don't have nearly the sample size of games most do though)

I've resorted to just flipping a coin prior to each game, and picking to either kick or receive based on the outcome.

i wish they'd get this fixed, but leaving it to the coin is effortless.

Probably 95% of the time the CPU will choose to receive if they win the toss. I have my settings as 1st: Against Wind and 2nd: Kick. And because of that I always kick-off to the CPU. Sometimes the CPU will choose the wind setting though.

A bit strange that the CPU never wants to defer though. The only way they can receive in the 2nd half is if you set your 1st choice to Receive. Wind is more important to me unfortunately.

If you choose the wind with your first choice and you win the toss you will be kicking off to start both the first half and the second half.

Not sure this is a method I would recommend.

No... that isn't how it works. If I get my choice of the wind, the CPU has to choose receive or kick. They always choose receive in that case. So I receive the ball in the 2nd half. I've never had a game where I kick off to start both halves.

Madden has it wrong then but I've never tried that option so I'll take your word for it.

A team would be stupid to lose the toss but still receive because the coin toss winner chose the wind instead of deferring and then not choose to receive with the first choice in the second half.

It's pretty disappointing that Madden has it wrong.

Why would a team kick both halves? Madden doesnt have it wrong because that doesnt exist.
