Super Mega Baseball 2 Impressions (Xbox, PS4, Steam)

Nice. The game is pretty solid. I won my first game 2-0 in five innings. It's a nice fun pick up and play game that does have some depth, which I wasn't expecting. I've been looking for another game to get into with my son. I think this will do. Especially now that baseball season is in effect. Xbox Game Pass and EA Access are the best value in gaming by a mile!

hopefully we get a stadium add on at some point.

Not much to complain about. Seeing how i loved the first one, and this one is even better

I’m downloading the demo 1st, but I’m pretty sure it will be a buy since I liked the 1st one.

I keep hearing complaints about the game stuttering on PC. Are there any performance issues on consoles?

I've only played one game, but I didn't have an issue.

Kinda bummed there's no RPG element to it this year. Managing my players' stat boosts was one of my favourite parts of the game.

On PC, I just wanted to mention after several more games that I do see a bit intermittent stutter from time to time. The thing is, it's not frame drop - I have the Steam FPS counter up at all times while I'm playing and it never drops below 60. So that means it's probably something in the game engine causing it.

I only get it for like a few seconds, and no more than twice in a 9 inning game. Very infrequent.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised they removed this too since it was such a unique part of the game's season mode. Found out about it the day before the game released on some dev Reddit posts.

It took me a game to get back into the groove.

Won 3-1 in my first game with 15 ego.

Then played again and won 24-1 on 25 ego. So I think it's safe to say I remember how to play this game again and need to up the ego.

The game is just fun. Even when winning by so much, I was having a blast which is usually not the case in other sports games. I still want the challenge, and the game does have simulation aspects to it. I like that because of ego, you can pretty much choose how hard or arcade you want the game. Just have to find the sweet spot.
