Re: WWE Off-Topic

Just got back from the house show in Trenton, NJ. Had a great time. Was cool to be back at a live event after 7 years. Here's the rundown of the show.

Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio with the Brogue Kick in a fantastic match.

The Miz defeated Fandango. It may be just me, but I really think Fandango needs to work on his in-ring skills.

The Bella Twins defeated Alicia Fox and Aksana. Blah match, but Brie was pleasure to look at.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Damien Sandow with the Zig-Zag. Before the match when Sandow was making his entrance he trashed the crowd for not giving him the proper reception. Said he was going in the back and once his music hits again we better give him the reception he deserves. Came back out and got a TON of boos. The man had serious heat tonight.

The Shield defeated The Wyatt Family when Roman Reigns speared Luke Harper. Both teams entrances are freakin' awesome live. Reigns may have gotten the loudest pop of the night after John Cena.

After intermission one of the most entertaining segments happened. Titus O' Neil hit the ring and was blowing a whistle. Got on the mic and trashed the New Jersey and Philly sports team calling everyone losers. Talked about how he will be a future champion and will be a winner tonight. His opponent was Darren Young who proceeded to beat Titus in under 3 minutes. After the match Titus complained the ref only counted to two and demanded another opponent. Out comes Mark Henry who squashed Titus in about a minute. Bad News Barrett's music hits and he has a mic. "I'm afraid I've got some bad news!" Said how he was supposed to be Mark Henry's opponent and some other stuff I forget. He comes to the ring and he and Titus double team Mark Henry. Darren Young runs back out to help Henry. Brad Maddox shows up on stage calling Titus a loser for losing two matches in one night. Asked the crowd if we want to see three losses. We obliged and Maddox made a tag team match of Mark Henry/Darren Young vs. Titus/Wade Barrett. Asks the crowd to do him a favor and every time Titus enters the ring to call him a loser.

Mark Henry and Darren Young win the match. Afterwards Titus gets back on the mic saying he is not a loser and the only reason they lost the match was because of Barrett. He starts shoving Barrett and wants a match with him. He turns his back and then the bell rings. Turns around to face Barrett and gets the Bull Hammer and pinned for the 1-2-3. Haha. Titus O' Neil loses 4 matches in the span of 20 minutes. It was hilarious.

The main event was Randy Orton vs. John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship inside a steel cage. Match was pretty solid with many escape attempts and false finishes. Match ended when Orton bumped the ref, gave Cena a low blow from behind, and escaped the cage through the door. After the match when the cage was raised Orton grabbed a chair to hit Cena and missed and got another Attitude Adjustment to end the show.

Very disappointed to not see Daniel Bryan, but I know the other house show in NY had to have some star power on it.

I took quite a few pics that I'll post under spoiler tags to not clutter the page.

Anybody ever see this post? Apparently Madusa (formerly Alundra Blayze in the WWF) posted a royalty check she received from WWE. Think this is from 2011?

I wouldn't say it was a sellout, but it was pretty close. It's a small arena in Trenton compared to the Wells Fargo Center in Philly. It only holds about 8,000.

It certainly wasn't ROH quality, but it was pretty good for an Indy show. Lots of older legends were there. Marty Janetty, Scotty 2 Hotty, Buff Bagwell, Armando Estrada, Bushwacker Luke, Al Snow, and surprisingly Nikolai Volkoff all had matches... I can't believe Volkoff still wrestles. He even sang the Russian national anthem before his match.

Oscar and Mo from Men on a Mission were there, and they gave a pretty touching tribute to Mabel before the event stated. He was supposed to be there. George The Animal Steele, Virgil, and Fred Ottman (Tugboat, Typhoon, Shockmaster) were also there signing autographs.

I got autographs of everyone there, and I also paid $5 for a raffle ticket and ended up winning a replica of their heavyweight championship signed by everyone that was at their last show (DDP, Jake Roberts, Tatanka, Sunny, Shane Douglas, Mosh and Thrasher, and Mr Hughes just to name a few. Promoter said it's probably valued at over 1200...he paid 570 just for the belt.

All in all it was a great event for the price. 35 bucks including the raffle ticket.
