Yeah I learned you aren't supposed to spin it and just tapping it has made it a little better but it still is terrible and WAY in favor of the CPU. Being hard isn't the problem as I said, the pin system is hard but I enjoy it. Its just not fun. Simple as that. I have no doubt that I'll eventually get good at it (right now I'm getting beaten by Savio Vega with a simple arm bar) but I still don't think I'll enjoy it.

Re: Submissions are just not fun

It its pretty awful. I don't have too much of a problem breaking out of submissions (at least not early on in matches) but it's very hard for me to get the CPU to tap out. Funny thing is I was able to do it my very first time in the showcase submission match against Bret Hart with no problem, but when I replayed the match as Bret Hart to try to beat that objective I could never get Austin to tap. I've played the match at least 6 or 7 times now and put him in probably a total of 50 submissions over the course of those matches and have never been able to win. And this is on Normal difficulty.

I haven't looked into this, and am too lazy right now, but I wonder if there is a skill that wrestlers have that makes them more likely to break out of a submission. If so, Austin's would probably be maxed, considering I don't think he ever tapped out. That would explain why it's so hard to break him in the game.

I would completely agree. Finally was able to pick up my copy yesterday and damn submissions suck.

So the point method. I just push the stick to the spot where the blue meter is located?

Yeah I'm not a fan of it either. I was never good with this method in UFC 3. It's just not fun I totally agree man.

Good stuff! I'll try this tonight. Been spinning the stick all this time, so frustrating.

Just saw this, you probably already looked it up. So if your meter is on the bottom, press left to move left, right to move right, if its on the left side, you point up to move up, down to move down etc. This is actually one of the things I think is most flawed about the system. The direction tha tactually moves the bar changes so sometimes the bar gets "stuck" if you don't move it the exact angle/direction.

Personally, I think it should be left always moves it clockwise, right always moves it counter-clockwise.
