Yep. The shot stick is too unreliable for jumpers in the sig-shot era. They'll never get rid of the jumpshot button because of oldies like myself who have been playing 2K since DC days.

They should just give you the choice of using either the classic controls or the new Isomotion Pro controls.

We should have the option to put a more useful button there. For instance, if they had the "get open" button there on a button layout for people who wanted to only use the shot stick.

Personally, I'd like it if the X button was for going after the ball only. This way you'd never run into those situations where you don't know that you've retrieved the loose ball, and shoot accidentally.

Yeah I'd use the button a lot of the time to start an up and under because you can get the 'tap' part more easily... using the shot stick on those often results in a hook or whatever on the first part of the movement. I tap with the button then finish with the shot stick a lot -- makes it more effective.

I do hope they give people who use the sticks additional control like they did with NHL 2K9. you can only dump the puck when you use the ProStick controls or whatever... similar to the way maximum passing was enabled or disabled in CH2K8 depending on which control scheme you use. I love having different controller setup options. Not sure what I'd put on the X button if shooting were removed, but I'm sure there's plenty of things that could be placed there.. Like in 2K8, we had NO "set pick" command.. that would've been a good place for it.

I never use the button so it wouldn't affect me though.

The issue is they should have a control scheme where the X button is something else, for people who want to use the shot stick. It can be the fake pass, the get open button, a new feature, whatever. Either way, we should have the option to replace the redundant button if we purely use the shot stick.

Me, i use the shot stick on drives (dunks/ layups) and in the post. for jumpshots it doesnt make sense to use the stick

Oh yea I wonder if we got fake passes this year. I remember a lot of people expressed the want/need for this. Especially vs Inbound steal attempts dudes
