MLB 14 The Show Video and Screenshots - The Stadiums (PS4)

We just received a new video from Sony of MLB 14 The Show featuring the new and improved stadiums in the game. The video centers around the theme of "The Cathedrals Are Better."

We have also grabbed plenty of screen captures from the video. You can take a look at them in the screenshots section.

Some tidbits:

PS4 allows for individual blades of grass to be modeled allowing for more realistic striping of playing surfaces.
Up to 1,000 unique character models in the stands. Kids will be amongst the spectators.
Bat boys are included.
Better color depth and accuracy, especially for night games. Seriously watch the video it looks amazing.

big misunderstanding there. Turns out there is only over a 100 fan models on the ps4, but they can do up to a 1000 because of the ps4's power.

Well I feel sorry for any game that comes out after this one. If I was a developer I would push to have everything out before May 6th.

Release date scheduled for Sept 4th 2014 - **** it, now its may 5th.

BTW guys...at least on my PC, the Youtube player defaults to 360p.

Watch it in 1080.

I think some people expectation are just too high for Next gen. there is nothing that is going to be leaps and bounds better on the next gen vs current gen and probably won't be for the first couple of years. For what SCEA was able to do the first time around on ps4 is very impressive and is only going to get better over time.

yea I know and was in discussion last week and guess its over 200?? However no exact amount given

Hey at least this gives me hope that retractable roofs are a thing this year, better that they not show it than with it raining with the roof open like in the PS3 vid.

Chase Field was shown with an open roof in this video.

I believe they already confirmed no retractable roofs this year, and it's only "on their list" for next year.

45 second mark. The statues in Comerica Park are incredible. Last year on ps3 they were shiny cardboard. Those statues really show off the graphics I think.
