R.B.I. Baseball 15 News Post

Taking classic games and turning them into modern "arcade" titles has been somewhat of a fad the past few years. For the most part -- NBA Jam being the exception -- these efforts have been clear money grabs and the actual games can't measure up to the old efforts if placed side by side.

Unfortunately, R.B.I. Baseball 15 continues that tradition and may be one of the worst sports games of the year.

I wish this was posted a few days ago before i bought it. I'm not a fan either. $20 down the drain.

Not questioning your review but one thing that might help out with the fielding is that there is an option for a static ball flight indicator which takes away the adventure of trying to catch fly balls. Not sure if you tried that.

Tried that and it definitely helps (control still isn't tight to me), but you really still run into the game assigning the wrong human controlled player a lot. Really baffling how the game gets stuff like that wrong often.

I enjoy it for what it is, but I agree a lot more could be done with it. There is a fun game of baseball in there and it could lean a bit more towards the simulation side in the future if they decide to continue with this game.

Sounds like they need a mega patch!

Glad I didn't let nostalgia grab my $20, even though on the surface, RBI 15 looked much better than 14. 14 was a disgrace, and 15 appears to be similar pig with lipstick.

Mega Baseball is a lot of fun, and plays a great game of baseball. The Pitcher/batter interface is excellent and challenging. I have played many, many hours on the PS4, but the PS3 version is almost the same, just not as glossy. This is the arcade game MLB should be partnering with.

Of course, The Show 15 PS4 is an absolute gem! True system seller. So many improvements to gameplay from 14.

I have some thought to buy it. It's on PC, you know... But now I will definitely pass it.

How about crowd-funding EA Sports to develop a baseball game again?

I really like this game. It has its issues, sure, but I still think it's quite good.

Great game, it is what rbi is. Glad pitchers get tired quick, love the simple but surprising strategic gameplay.

Things that they could simply have done was make a name, number, player, team edit option. People would get more into playing against each other if they could make their little league, highschool or whatever team.

It would be too much to ask for a face scan or logo creator and I always hate the cheap made up ones EA always offers. Just make a simple player edit, heck leave the logo out if we have to choose from a corny one.

At least let us give even more power or hitting ability. That's all all the game is great, just wish I could edit.

They got my money last year, because The Show was delayed and I was curious. Not happening this year. As has been mentioned above, Super Mega Baseball is the game you want if you want a fun baseball game for $20. Incredibly good value there.

So MLB makes RBI Baseball? They truly need to pony up the money and find a game developer that can create a MLB: The Show for XBox. We know they have the money.

I bought RBI 14 for my 360 and I was committed to it for a while. It was EXTREMELY difficulty for so long, everything about it -especially fielding. Finally it clicked and I started to dominate. I'm good a fielding now, it's fun. All I wanted from last years game was online play I want to take fools on online. It's a flawed game, sure, but I want to own kids on XBL. Well It's not available on 360 which is lame. I don't play computer games but seeing this game is graphically litmited my POS should be able to run it and I can finally test my skills online. Both games have been massacred in reviews. While there are good points made, I have to cringe because most of the criticism is simply the fact people never got any good and vent the frustration saying, IT SUCKS. Hate to break it to you, but maybe YOU just suck. Can't wait to play online with my 360 controller.

I don't understand how there isn't a true sim MLB game available on Xbox or even PC for that matter. Especially when Microsoft owns the rights to the High Heat Baseball franchise.
