Gotta say, I also agree with the Winslow comments. I need to look close at the hi-res one to appreciate the Butler in him.

But not that bad. Just at first glance I totally see the Winslow. I suppose the 2 look a bit alike due to the hair.....

not one of the better 2K screenshots. At least they are getting Jimmy Butler's skin tone closer to real life. But they give Jimmy extra meat (lbs), less lean muscle tone, I've said before he looks like Justice Winslow. Facial scan is not one of the better ones.

Face Scan is garbage

From a broadcast cam I'll stop thinking about it I'm positive.

But a 20 page thread picking it to bits is inevitable when it's all we've got to feed on haha.

I'm sure some positive stuff will come from even the shaky phone vids in the coming days.

Damn I miss those days of awesome looking Live 16 screenshots. Live did few things better than 2K, but Live's style of graphics (player detail, lighting, courts) I preferred over 2k's. Meh, anyways...creme always rises to the top.

I'm kind of in awe that 2k would drop this screenshot thinking people would be impressed.

It is really astounding. Can't imagine someone looking at that pic and not seeing the huge midsection. The only thing that I can't think of is:

1) They can see it but don't want to spend time/resources fixing that
2) They got so close to seeing those body models each day that stopped seeing the flaws

Anyway, this should be priority #1 for 2k18.

In all seriousness, if 2k copied the lighting, sound and body models from Live the presentation would be much better. The Jimmy Butler is night and day from Live to 2k. Live is almost photorealistic, and 2k is...yeah. Strange from a company who despite many flaws is pretty solid.

Maybe a bit off topic, but who remembers Vince Carter being booed in NBA Live 10 every time he played in Toronto? The crowd in NBA Live has always been excellent. If 2k can get some better crowd noises in, and featues like getting KD booed in OKC every time he plays there for example, presentation would be next level.

In all honesty I'd say that I'm sure Jimmy's face will look a whole lot better from a different angle in this 2k17. The angle used in the screenshot is making it look weird.

The 2K17 Derek Fisher body type...

Wow. Just WOW.

I don't play with current day teams but this is pretty shocking.

Might as well drop this guy onto the legends teams with the rest of the poorly rendered models

What is going on with the art team??

I could totally get on board with everything if he wasn't wearing that potato sack.

And I suppose that's just an extension of his short and wide 2K torso.

But if that potato sack he's wearing had like creases and folds in it, then it would look baggy. As it is, it's like a tight fitting, wide potato sack. Which makes him just....look....wide.

I don't see a problem with the Kyrie screenshot, but this one looked photoshopped to troll. It simply does not look real.

I just did a quick little trimming in Photoshop (didn't put too much effort as you can see).

Maybe I overdid it a little bit, but looking at real Butler pictures, the issue here I think it is not so much the waist line. It's the tight clothes. Jerseys and shorts need to be baggy, Butler's body type doesn't have any fat, clothes should be hanging.
