Had the PS4 version for about a week now, and I love it. This is definitely a sim racer.

Does anybody know if there will be a digital version of this?

Anyone know if the CPU makes mistakes when they drive, like getting into wrecks and mechanical failures?

Yes, it will be available this evening when the PSN store updates on PS4.

AI is somewhat a disappointment as at times they just drive all over the place with little sense hopefully it'll be polished eventually.

I haven't been able to play yet, however I watched a bit on twitch last night before deciding to buy. The guy was on PS4 - he was doing a little more arcade with no damage, so I don't know about mechanical failures. But I did see CPU drivers veering off the track a few times, one got loose and smacked into another car sending it off course. If damage were on, I would assume that would be enough to cause a wreck with more than minor body damage.

The only mechanical failure I've experienced is where you get in a wreck where your cars loses a wheel or something like that, and rev the engine too high which then blows the engine.

Ha beat me to it. Unfortunately it does not come with the modified car pack apparently. I only have the limited edition pack.

I think it may be an error as their official site states the digital version contains both packs.

IGN review was pretty good. Still unsure of X1 or PS4 version. I hate having decisions sometimes. Might just go with X1, I have more friends that are racing fans.

I was just about to buy it and noticed that too. I'm waiting to see if anyone can confirm what's included with the digital version before buying it.

Lots of people getting just the limited edition pack. I'm gonna wait to se if they set the modified car packs to free, but if not its a $2 upgrade as it's listed on the PSN store.

Tried my first race as it was downloading, you cannot change the controls until it completely downloaded unfortunately. I decided to just stop and let it download as I find it awkward to shift using r1 and l1. I'd much prefer x and square

Just queued up the D/L from my phone went ahead and grabbed the free stuff and the Modified Car Pack too since it didn't seem to come with the bundle as expected. Hopefully I can hop on when I get home.

First Impressions

Once you boot the game up for the first time it gives you 3 difficulty levels.

1. Novice
2. Amateur
3. Pro (Pro has an AI difficulty 80 out of 100 btw)

I chose pro. Let's just say I have a lot to unlearn from DriveClub, not saying Driveclub is bad because it isn't. But PC is a different beast altogether.

It is very easy to spin out. You have to be very gentle on the accelerator. Making it around the track without incident for me felt like an accomplishment.

I would say this game isn't for everyone.

The amount of options are truly staggering and welcomed by me. I enjoy setting up random events and the like, and this game gives me those opportunities at every turn. If you are a racing fan, I think you will be well pleased. If not, might want to stay away because it isn't your average pick up and play racer.

EDIT: Try these settings out. They helped me with the steering. But be patient haha.
