MLB The Show 17 Video - Walking Through The New Features, Including Create a Player

GameSpot has posted a new MLB The Show 17 video, walking through the new features in the game. It includes some regular gameplay, Retro Mode gameplay and a walkthrough of the player creation/edit process.

Tnixen I was watching the scorebug especially close and noticed that the "The Show 17" banner never popped up once on top

i think the uniform sets, are just the full version of the uniform, already there for you.


That's probably just the mix and match feature that's already in the game. They did list uniform sets as an item for a deep dive so there has to be some change right?

i definitely want to believe there is more to it.. but the whole uniform set (throwback 19') is new, and leads me to believe that because of the style guide, we wont be seeing more uni's or new uni's or anything like that.

don't get me wrong i'd love it to be more. and i hope it is

Among other things I liked this hit because it appeared the shortstop was slightly fooled by the spin of the ball. IRL it does happen occasionally.

Give me last year's manage mode with this new ball spin, animations, weather etc - I'm a happy camper.

Has nothing to do with the style guide. They just won't include more uniforms slots.

Man, loving the new faces and body type sliders. Gonna make CAP more realistic and fun to create.

Also, I know its a minor thing compared to the other things being showed in the vid but how bout the blue menu screens?? I dig how the menu pops off the screen! Loving the new look for sure.

Not just the main menu but all of the menu screens seem to be more vivid and I like the blue background. Cool look for 17.

Definitely adidas fielding gloves are in. There was another glove that I didn't recognize, hopefully it's mizuno. Also noticed we have a Cap style & cap brim style.

Idk about that, but "Cap style" was never an option before, but now it is this year. So not sure what cap style could mean.
