Come on guys, let's get this done. Who's it going to be?

I would vote Chief, and hope that my intuition all game has been right.

hoopsguy
03-07-2011, 09:36 AM
Yeah, I'm fine with whichever direction we decide to go but probably lean towards Chief over PackerFanatic. But it sure seems like those are the next two that we take out and end the game, one way or another.

Danny
03-07-2011, 09:47 AM
I would go with Chief as well

Chief Rum
03-07-2011, 10:22 AM
You guys are wrong (at least with me). But I don't get the sense there will be much discussion of options today. So I hope if that's the case, we can just vote and drop nightfall and be done with it. Then you guys can get to debating the real last wolf. I don't think while I am around there will be many who are inclined to look elsewhere.

Autumn
03-07-2011, 11:07 AM
Well, the only vote so far is on PF, so a little early to cede defeat, Chief.

Chief Rum

Well, the only vote so far is on PF, so a little early to cede defeat, Chief.

Autumn, just becasue ntndeacon is the only one who has voted, doesn't mean we don't know the direction the wind's blowing. You dead villagers are already putting in your "votes" on me, and I was mentioned all Friday and weekend as the next candidate of sorts, especially after Pass came up a wolf.

hoopsguy
03-07-2011, 11:25 AM
Chief, taking you out of the mix do you think we should be looking at anyone besides PackerFanatic?

Chief Rum

Chief, taking you out of the mix do you think we should be looking at anyone besides PackerFanatic?

I don't want to lead you guys on to someone else and ignore PF, so I wouldn't say there's anyone else to look at. That said, I really don't know. I didn't end up getting the analysis done that I was looking to do, and the logic you guys used for PF was sound as anything else out there. Plus, you can practically clear several players right off of the bat, or virtually clear them anyway, yourself, ntn, mckerney, etc.

But there has been a lot of uncertainty in this game, so I would definitely revisit your discussions and be certain you're comfortable with PF as your final wolf before putting that vote in. I don't know that there's a better candidate, though.

Game update.

After tonight we will be down to the final three race teams. Tuesday will be the final leg of the race.

If the werewolf side were to end tonight (don't read anything into that statement; just a standard disclosure) we would still have the final leg tomorrow.

I'm always interested by how many times someone says something. For instance, Pass saying multiple times how he was offended and that was why he didn't vote (not true since he was just trying to throw suspicion off himself). And now Chief telling us umpteen times how bad he has played this game as a reason for him voting for villagers so often and laying it on pretty thick. And he just keeps trying to sell us on the idea that he sucks. Yet another reason I think it's Chief.

Never really answered me at all either (yet another reason) even though I know he read it.

lol...wait, what didn't I answer?

And I wouldn't describe me saying I am having a bad game as "umpteen" times. I have maybe said it twice, and I think one of those times was prompted because someone else asked if I am a normally a good player.

Fembots have to be the favorite in these last two legs, the only team with two active players. Here's hoping NTN and I can catch them, but who knows.

Team Reebok's really looking good tonight.

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:25 PM
The teams are underway!!!

Team ColorAnimal and Team Fembot are off to an early lead.

Team Reebok has time to make up as they start off third.

Team Six, the unnamed team, is the underdog in a big way.

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:26 PM
Team Fembot and Team ColorAnimal arrive to Niagara first. Team Fembot is starting to play rough as they give Team ColorAnimal incorrect directions to get to the roadblock.

Autumn
03-07-2011, 09:28 PM
This is about to get down and dirty.

GO CELEBS! TEAM COMEBACK!

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:30 PM
Team Fembot arrives at the roadblock first. One player must save a slapshot from a local hockey hero...

hoopsguy steps up for Team Fembot and is struggling. He shoots and scres, and scores, and scores. She is letting everything through.

Team ColorAnimal arrives. CrimsonFox steps up for his team. It onl takes 4 shots and he finally makes a save.

hoopsguy then saves he next shot and they are off neck and neck.

Danny
03-07-2011, 09:30 PM
As Mau said, go team superstar!

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:33 PM
Team Reebok arrives and when they arrive at the roadblock they chose to do the fast forward and head for that.

As they arrive at the fast forward they see that no other team has tried it yet; this leads to a flying chest bump that knocks Autumn to the ground and he has twisted an ankle. He is clearly in pain as he gets back to his feet. He would later notice that someone tampered with his shoes, at least he feels that must be the case.... though the camera shows that nothing is wrong with his shoe.

They learn how they are supposed to ride in the barrell and head into the next room where a priest administers last rights....

they look puzzled but continue...

Autumn
03-07-2011, 09:35 PM
Everyone knows Reebok provides the best ankle support. This is an outrage!

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:36 PM
Both Team ColorAnimal and Team Reebok arrive at the detour. Both chose to Follow It.

Team Fembot explain the GPS to Team ColorAnimal.... "See the arrow, it needs to be pointing toward you all the time. If you keep it pointing at you you will be able to find the location."

"Thank you, we really had no idea how to use this..."

Team Fembot heads in one direction...

"Bitch..."

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:38 PM
At the falls...

A barrell drops over the edge and we hear someone inside screaming like a little girl. It crashes into the river below and we hear silence. The barrell bobs slowly away from the falls as a boat speeds out to pull it to land. It seems the camera inside is not operable.

Autumn
03-07-2011, 09:39 PM
That was NTN, guys.

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:40 PM
Team Six arrives and they are at the roadblock where Danny is trying to stop the shots.

One shot scores, another, yet another...

Danny is getting very pissed, but not as much as mau...

mau jumps the boards and jumps the hockey hero from behind. He begins to throw round houses. Soon the hero's teammates jump the boards an head into the mix. A brawl ensues...

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:41 PM
At the falls we see the barrell opening... a lifeless body is being pulled from inside...

What would EagleFan do without us brave heroes here to make his writeups more exciting.

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:43 PM
Team Fembot and Team ColorAnimal are still trying to find their next clue; ColorAnimal has made up some of the ground that Team Fembot has cost them but it is still anyone's game.

back at the rink...

The fight finally clears and we see a battered and bruised Dany and mau limping away with the next clue in their hands, on to the detour...

EagleFan
03-07-2011, 09:44 PM
Near the falls the mood is somber as we see the lifeless body of the camera man being lifted out of the barrell but Team Reebok jump out of the barrell and grab the clue to the pitstop...

"I had dead guy on me!!!! Dead Guy!!!!"

We see the pitstop an one team comes into view...

Team Reebok limps their way onto the mat...

Team Reebok you are the first team to arrive, you will be one of the three teams racing in the finals.

Then another team arrives...

Team Fembot, you are the second team to arrive. You wll be racing in the finals.

Autumn begins yelling at Team Fembot. Chif Rum flashes him and that shuts him up.

At the detour Danny and mau have arrived. They look at the GPS and grab a nearby local.

"If you want to live to see another day you will find out where this is pointing to and take us there!!!"

Unfortunately it wasn't a local but a Japanese tourist that didn't speak a word of English...

Autumn
03-07-2011, 09:50 PM

Danny and mau eventually find the next clue while avoiding the local law enforcement.

They get to Goat Island and begin to look for Phil but he is nowhere in sight. Finally someone hands them a note... "Couldn't wait any longer, Team Fembot promised me some serious Penthouse Forum action so I had to go with them. You lost, thanks for playing..."

When you are allowed to begin you will start at Niagara and travel to Las Vegas. From there...

You have a clue to the Roadblock.
Who knows when to fold em? Requires Mental.

You have a clue to the Detour.

High Flying: Participate in a Cirque du Soleil performance. Requires physical and mental.
- Learn the routine and perform a high flying act aong with the cast of the how.
- May take a long time to learn but a team that is physical and has an eye for details can perform it quickly.

East It: Saddle up at a grand old buffet and "clean your plate". Requires Eating.
- Vegas used to be known for their cheap buffets; this is a throwbck buffet to honor the Vegas of 20 years ago.
- Each member will have a quite large portion that they need to finish befoer they can move on.
- Teams with a bottomless stomach can finish quickly.

Final challenge - Remembering the Race; Requires Mental, Travel
- Each team submits what they feel were the highlights of the race in order.
- Using both the skills as a roll and the details as presented will determine the time for this event.

Pit Stop - Red Rock Canyon

NTN would be the other person I would consider a little bit ... it took quite a bit of coaxing to get him to do the right thing on the JAG vote. I bet if we go back and look at the rest of his voting record it isn't any great shakes either.

It is possible that we had two wolves on the block on Day 1 ... doesn't happen often, but isn't out of the realm of possibility. Anyone have the time to look over his voting record on other days?

That was the main reason I didn't go nightfall last night. I also wanted to see what other people were looking at for their votes today. But the final point was that the wolves left me alone last night and instead took out mckerney. Probably made sense, since they couldn't lynch mckerney (duke) but also left me a bit nervous that they were happy with the idea that I would be gunning for PackerFanatic today.

GoldenEagle

PackerFanatic
03-08-2011, 09:44 AM
Me too, GE - since I was pushing him hard the other day and no one put anything into it.

Everyone remaining has already cast their vote for me...is there anyway I can convince people otherwise? Trust me guys, we will lose this game if you lynch me.

VOTE HOOPSGUY

He has been the one with the most discussion and seems to be trying to force the vote. This is it for the game, so I might as well throw up a prayer.

PackerFanatic
03-08-2011, 09:47 AM
I also have seen very little discussion on hoops or cougar (granted I could have easily missed it). Not sure why they were dismissed so easily.

Autumn
03-08-2011, 09:58 AM
I'm worried about over thinking things at this point. It seemed clear it was either PF or CR. I goofed on CR, but no reason to get antsy about PF. It's always possible to go back and start second guessing, but I think we had solid reasons to eliminate all the others.

Autumn
03-08-2011, 09:58 AM
EF, for the final challenge, do you mean recounting in the order the legs happened in, or in the order we consider them highlights?

hoopsguy
03-08-2011, 10:07 AM
Yeah, I agree that seems like the right course Autumn. I just don't want to rush into judgment. Like it or not, yesterday was a bad lynch but it does provide more data points for analyzing key lynch dates. I just want to put in the due diligence before making a final decision.

PF voting for me doesn't exactly engender warm feelings, however. I mean, really, there is one guy in the game who is kind of considering an option besides PF and he flies in with a vote on me. Dude, did you even read the thread before posting that vote?

Autumn
03-08-2011, 10:18 AM
Well, frankly, if it's not PF, then i'ts all up in the air. I feel like we eliminated the rest of you from consideration with solid village votes. If one of the rest of you is a wolf, then they've made some really non-wolf moves to hide that fact. If I was going to pick one of you guys to have pulled the wool over our eyes like that, I might pick you too, Hoops ;-)

PackerFanatic
03-08-2011, 10:41 AM
My feelings had been on ntn earlier, and cougar has been so damn quiet that it could very easily be him, but I voted you, hoops, for being the most vocal about CR and myself the last few days. I know full out that if I am the lynch, we will lose this game, and I am trying to do anything to make that not happen...hard to argue when I have really done nothing in either direction, though, I suppose.

hoopsguy
03-08-2011, 10:51 AM
PF, if I was a wolf we would have ended up lynching GE and the game would already be over. To say nothing about the JAG vote.

hoopsguy
03-08-2011, 10:58 AM
Autumn, do me a favor if you have any time today. Go plug the Day 1 vote back in with all the new "he is a villager/wolf" data we have from the last couple of lynches and then look at it with the viewpoint of NTN as a wolf.

We know he was around with a bad vote on the JAG lynch day, but ended up pulling a switch late.

Was he an early GE voter on the day that Pass was lynched? If so, when did he switch?

I'm jumping between meetings and critical customer issues so I don't have time to do the post dives, but I want to know what the results are so if someone is feeling industrious that would be a huge help.

I didn't have time to dig enough to find the better version of this, but here's day 1 to take a thousandth look at.

First glance is that Mauboy and NTN both have a hand in turning it into a Mau/NTN runoff, Seems ilf they were both wolves one of them would have gone after Chief instead.

Thank you. You guys might notice I have been saying exactly this for a week now, with respect to ntn's allegiance. Why do you guys think I was positive he's a villager? :D

BTW, had a thought. Remember a couple nights ago, when hoops revealed he was the Wannabe to me several hours before the deadline, and later offered it up as evidence I might be good, because the wolves (if I had been one) didn't kill off a villager role. Try reversing that--hoops as a wolf revealed he was the Wannabe because he already knew I wasn't a wolf and that he wouldn't be killed by "wolves".

I think the Wannabe role is allegiance free.

I still think hoops is a villager, but food for thought you know?

Autumn
03-08-2011, 11:54 AM
I can come up with theories where anybody but PF is a wolf, but they all involve some pretty wild wolf moves. Hoops is right that he really pushed to lynch Pass before GE. And he certainly worked hard with me on pinning JAG down. Could that be a wolf making himself unlynchable? Sure, I guess, but it seems like there would be easier ways to win.

I'm interested, Chief, in your thoughts, since I've been discounting them for a while now ;-) I can't see anyone being a better candidate than PF - he doesn't have much against him but then again he has nothing for him as a villager, so he seems the most likely spot.

hoopsguy

I guess I will vote for Chief just to keep things nice and tight between the three options.

Vote Chief

well I hate the fact I am a leading vote getter on day one. This is more to bolster a third candidate than any other reason...i.e, I am well prepared to change to the leader if I need to to save my own butt. ...but for now....

Vote Chief

yea it is funny, I probably still go vote for Chief even if I know of Zinto's vote as it is now 4-4-3 for mau, chief and me

Here is NTN's day one vote making it 4-4-3 with Mau/Chief tied in front of him.

He acknowledges that he didn't see Zinto's vote in front of him, so he was making it 4-3-3 (Mau/NTN/CR) in his mind instead of 5-3-2 (Mau/NTN/CR).

well chief I will be willing to move to mau if you are
30 minutes later, and another couple of NTN votes, and he is willing to negotiate with Chief on moving votes to Mau instead of keeping them on himself. At this point it is 5-5-4 Mau/NTN/CR and he moves his vote to make it 6-5-3 Mau/NTN/CR. This is about 4 hours before the deadline, but is a fairly big concession for the wolves ... moving away from a villager to put two wolves out in front. Doesn't make much sense.

I would have to be blown away by the wolfiness of his later actions (and I know I was on the night of the JAG vote) to move the vote off PF at this point, now knowing for sure Chief is a villager.

Here are my impressions on people, which are almost entirely shaped by the Day 1 vote. It is important to note that if NTN was a wolf that would dramatically change the (relative) trust dynamics.

I would like to take some time to dig through yesterday's posts, but I'm out of time for right now. Don't know how much I'll be on between now and deadline, other than to drop a vote before heading out for the day.

1. Autumn - avoided Mau + NTN on D1
3. Passacaglia - non-factor on D1 (NTN vote creating 3 way tie)
4. mckerney - early vote on Mau
5. PackerFanatic - first vote on Mau, would wolves had had 2 of 3 first votes on him?
8. JAG
10. ntndeacon - forced into defensive D1
11. bhlloy - purportedly scanned by DV, early vote on Mau
12. cougarfreak - key vote on Mau
15. Danny - introduced NTN as candidate, don't think that NTN/Danny are likely to be wolves together
16. Chief Rum - Mau voted for him early D1, somewhat erratic D1 voting (on/off candidates)
17. hoopsguy - I know I'm a villager
19. GoldenEagle - purportedly scanned by DV

Watched that too but the problem there is that it would make no sense for them to do that. Why would a team agree to taking extra time to set something like up? I would think that it wouldn't take much for that to actually come out that it was faked.

The roadblock is a blackjack challenge. Teams start with 200 in chips and mus double that. If they lose all of their chips they must wait 30 minutes before starting again....

Autumn steps up for Team Reebok.

Team Fembot arrives and hoopsguy steps up to the table.

When Team ColorAnimal arrive CrimsonFox takes the challenge for his team.

All three teams are at the tables...

Team Reebok is starting for the second time as they tried to win on the first hand and busted out. The other teams tried to test the waters first and are getting closer to their total...

Team Reebok decides to try smaller bets fir the first few hands and then goes for it with a 100 dollar bet and they win and advance.

hoopsguy finished just 10 minutes later and they are on their way.

CrimsonFox made up the most time and finishes just 5 minutes after Team Fembot.

On to the Detours...

EagleFan

Team Reebok make it to the detour first, they choose to try their luck with the athletic event. Team Fembot have decided to eat their way to victory.

It seems that Team ColorAnimal lost a little ground getting to the detour as they arrive at the eating challenge 10 minutes behind Team Fembot.

Team Reebok studies the acrobats intently and make their attempt at the routine but they struggle and have to watch a second time.

At the eating challenge there has been a controversy as Team ColorAnimal is saying that it looks like Team Fembot has received smaller portions. Some lipstick is noticed on the neck of one of the servers...

As they argue Team Fembot devour what is on their plate.

Team Reebok nail the second attempt and are on their way.

Team Fembot finishes about 10 minutes off the pace but they lost no time on the detour. Team ColorAnimal lose 10 minutes in the challenge and are now 20 minutes behind Team Fembot and a half hour behind Team Reebok.

The final challnge is on...

EagleFan
03-08-2011, 09:24 PM
The teams begin ordering the challenges and listing their highlights. It takes memory and details to help with this challenge...

Team Reebok:
"The highlight of our first leg was just finding out how much to juggle. We handled the challenges pretty well, but driving from Vegas to LA to catch a flight? Bad planning. Also notable, Autumn's awesome goalkeeping.

On the way to the Falklands, we found the best way to get there, living the other fools stranded at the airport. Nice. Watching the Fembots flirt with shepherds was also nice.

We moved up to fourth at Macao, taking a better route through Sydney rather than Hong Kong. Some difficult travel there. The challenge is simple though, scoring on the hockey guy. It's like they made these challenges for us.

Chennai is where Packer and Cougar rushed off on some bad advice, heading for the pit stop first, that was a big blunder. Deacon and Autumn master the cricket field, no problem and we move up to third place.

In Dubai, Deacon and Autumn struggled a bit, had a few heated words. But it was all forgotten as we danced like you couldn't believe and maintained our third place standing. Our plan all along had been to hang in around third place and make a push at the end, so things were going to plan.

Jamaica is where our plans went awry though. Autumn gets knocked out of the Werewolf game and doesn't seem as into it anymore. On top of that, one of the other teams goes nuts and makes the news getting shot down on the runway. Bad publicity for Reebok. Luckily we maintain our standing.

In Frankfurt the teams get nasty, those Fembots trying to knock us out of the game. Deacon and Autumn know how to play dirty though, we can take it. We struggle a little with the challenges but do well enough to hang in at third. It's going to take something special next though to win this.

The highlight of Niagara Falls is obviously the Plunge. Deacon and Autumn make every news highlight show and earn a special bonus from Reebok by defying all odds and heading over the falls in an amazing fast forward. They'll be wearing black armbands tonight for the fallen cameraman, but most important is they're ready to become champs!"

Team Fembot:
"1. Pass & Zinto old fogies trying to keep up
2. Cougarfreak and PF blowing right by the Roadblock/Detour in Chennai
3. Hoops undressing in Dubai
4. Lathum and Jackal going out in a blaze of glory
5. Team Reebok surviving the fast forward @ Niagara Falls"

Team ColorAnimal:
"Leg One:
Starting at the beginning mat, it was great just being with GOldenEagle and the thought of spending this time together was wonderful.
The mad scramble at the beginning was hilarious. And that one team that hitched to Vegas. I fell over when I heard that! I remember thinking about Team Reebok, "Whoa, these guys need a shower. They stink already and we haven't even left the mat."
MartinD and saldana looked funny as they laughed about not being able to find the trucks. They just couldn't find them.
Chief Rum looked like he was about to cry in Brazil and couldn't stop anything balls shot at him at the detour (Take that as you will).
Jackal's goalie skills were amazing. One shot and BAM! He stopped it. This helped he and Lathum soar through to first place.\
Zinto and Pass were saved from their last place finish. Bet they won't try hitching anymore.

Leg Two
Martin and saldana's relationship seemed doom as they wouldn't stop fighting. We were about to call some cops over at one point. Half the teams lost a little time in this leg taking a plane instead of taking the flight to argentina and then traveling to the falklands via boat. mckerney seemed to be part fish at the roadblock and found his clue with the best time. Darth Vilus on the other hand seemed to be made of stone, slowing up his team. But he and bhlloy were very prepared for the detour and made up some time. Chief Rum and hoopsguy begin their first of many flirts along the race at the detour where they had to wrangle and sheer sheep. They flirted with everybody. WIth Phil, WIth the sheep wranglers, with the SHEEP! I didn't even know a sheep could french kiss. It seemed to help, all the sheep followed them around better than Babe. "Bahramewe indeed!"
mauboy and Danny who finished 4th overall in the race are at the back of the pack and barely beat out last place team Zinto and Pass, who could not overcome their hitching mistake and were eliminated from the race. For Danny and mauboy it is an impressive comeback from here to last week's 4th place finish.

Leg Three
Most teams now had figured out that they should boat back to Argentina and then fly.
Again there was a split. Half the teams flew to HongKong, the other half flew into Macau. The Macau people win (not like Charlie Sheen "wins"). The teams at Hong Kong all got stuck at Customs. There seems to be a question about hoopsguy's beauty products and whether she was trying to smuggle things up her shirt. At the Chicken Feet roadblock, Phil gives the best quote of the series in his narration: hoopsguy starts out and she seems to be a pro at shoving things into her mouth and swallowing. She is the first one done and they are on their way. Jackal on the other hand did not enjoy the challange and was seen vomiting up chicken feet. Not a pretty sight. And Team 3 makes up time and gets very close to...Team 3. Hmmm....bad editing on that episode. At the detour, Martin and saldana again are at each other's throats. It seems they are going through divorce before they're even married. At the JUMP IT bungee jump, CrimsonFox's tarzan yell lightens the mood. At the mat, hoops and Chief Rum give Phil his first hug of the game. He is heard telling producers he wants them to finish first every time no matter how. At the race to the mat, Darth Vilus trips and falls, a victim of the first of many bouts of dirty play in this game. And causes he and bllhoy to be eliminated from the race.

Leg Four
The Team with the weirdest name: "The Pair of Amazing Nuts" consisting of PackerFanatic and cougarfreak were off to an agressive start to Pondicherry, India, thanks to the encouragement of rivals Martin/Saldana and Danny/mauboy, who all most likely spent a little agression the nuts way. Make that a LOT of aggression. The nuts were headed to Pondicherry, but the roadblock they needed to perform was in Chennai. This was the worst doublecross in the history of the Amazing Race.
In Chennai, Chief Rum makes quick work of navigating on a motorcycle through the busy streets of India and doesn't let other teams gain ground. Autumn and Saladana also do well with Saldana looking like he was made for the streets of India on a bike. Saldana statrring in "Streets of India" coming to a theatre near you! On the other hand, in a near tragic occurrence, Danny is almost hit by a truck who swerves right in front of him and crashes into a house. Chicken feathers fly everywhere. Yet Danny managed to stay on the bike. Meanwhile selling silk on the streets, Chiefrum and hoops are harassed but do little selling. Maybe they should try ANOTHER profession. And Jag and mckerney get in each other's way. At the cricket field detour, most teams there are successful except for Jackal and Lathum who seemed to bowl the pitch at each other instead of at the club bowlers there. Again Chief and hoops step on the mat first. With the Nuts Packer and cougar trusting the wrong people, (and getting blindsided by two teams) are eliminated.

Leg Five:
Team Fembot (hoops and Chief) and Team ColorAnimal (CrimsonFox and GoldenEagle) both figure out that the best airport to use is not the Ponticherry airport which doesn't have many commercial flights, but the Chennai Intl Airport where they started. Despite the long coastal drive, it is the quickest way to fly to Dubai. At the roadblock, hoops continues to please Phil and the producers by stripping down to her undies in the hot searing heat. CrimsonFox sets a high bar in map reading and no team comes close to him. hoops bouncing to the rhythm at the detour, leaves opposing teams and local slipping in puddles of drool. Team Reebok do well at dancing, but the others both faulter. saldana and martin's relationship continues to erupt. Several F-bombs are heard. mauboy and Danny take some bad advice from the Coloranimals. Phil gets his prayers answered as Chief jumps in his arms and kisses him for first place. Phil secretly wanted hoops however. As the angry couple saldana and martinD step off the mat in last place they are still yelling, this time about martin looking at Chief Rum and about martin thinking it was saldana's fantasy. Sad music played and a PSA about domestic violence follows.

Leg Six:

Lathum and Jackal give the game an R rating, up from the PG-13 rating that Hoops and Chief Rum gave it. They kill guards and custodians alike and hijack a plane to Jamaica. As the rules explicitly say, the teams are not allowed to hijack planes, they are eliminated from the race. And they are dead too. Phil's Emmy-winning final line seals their fate. ANd mauboy and Danny's anonymous phone call to the authorities help them stay in the race themselves. At the roadblock, GoldenEagle jumps ahead of the Fembots by devouring jerked chicken, this time without receiving a virus from the food like his last trip. Autumn tries to make hoopsguy throw up the chicken by making gagging sounds and succeeds. In a race first, someone has choked ON a chicken., instead of...well never mind. And for the first time this race since the fembots started their domination, they are beaten by Team ColorAnimal, who thanks to GOldenEagle's eating skills, hit the mat first and win a trip to a Chuck E Cheese.

Leg Seven:
Before the teams set out after the horrifying events of the previous day, Phil treats them to a mining movie: The Bull Moose Special! The teams begin in full plot mode as both team febot and team Reebok plan to unravel the victory from Team ColorAnimal. "Never before ahve I seen such poor sportsmanship," said Phil. "I'm buying those COlorANimals a free trip to Disleyland after the race." CrimsonFox was not deterred and beat everyone else's time at the roadblock. Hoops beats out ntndeacon, who also has to do the challenge a second time.mckerney is too upset from the previous day to do the roadblock and is in tears as JAG has to take over. At the detour, ColorAnimal and Fembot enjoy some spirits and gulp their way through a beerdrinking challenge, while Reebok struggles to find the marker. mckerney continues the waterworks by refusing to drink beer, demanding Appletinis instead, while JAG tries desperately to keep their team from losing. In what is usually a deathblow to teams, they switch detour challenges. The last straw is mckerney slipping and falling down a muddy embankment, screaming bloody murder at PHil and the producers and finally driving off to look for drycleaning. These obstacles prove too much for the team and they arrive in last place, giving Phil the bill. The winner however is the ever-scheming Fembots who overcome the ColorAnimals once again.

Leg Eight:

As usual Team Villainous, I mean Fembot, seriously, I'm going to buy them each a swooping purple and blck cape and a headpiece with horns on it. Anyway they again throw a hex on virtuous Team ColorAnimal and hurt their chances in the race. CrimsonFox does well at the roadblock trying to block hockey shots in Niagara, while hoopsguy sits in the penalty box of karma and can't make a save. Team Reebok is the only team that chooses to do the fast forward and succeeds, starting with a priest's last rights, which pay off as their cameraman dies on the way down. Luckily they packed a spare. The barrelride pays off and jets them into first place. ntndeacon is heard screaming at Phil "I had dead guy on me!!!! Dead Guy!!!!" The Villainesses again hex ColorAnimal and zoom in front of them. Crimsonfox's next words are bleeped out. Surprising since we have already achieved an R rating. This is further noted as Chief flashes Autumn and the cameraman. Danny and mau try the Jackal/Lathum approach to the race by kidnapping a Japanese tourist, but he just takes them to the nearest sushi place. To add insult to injury, Phil doesn't even wait for them at the finish line. Just a note reading: "Couldn't wait any longer, Team Fembot promised me some serious Penthouse Forum action so I had to go with them. You lost, thanks for playing..."

Leg Nine:

The final three teams prepare for the last leg of the race. Who will win? Team Reebok? Team Villainess? or Team ColorAnimal?"

Team Reebok is the first to complete. They are on their way towards the final pitstop.

Team ColorAnimal finish the task second and are off towards the pitstop.

Team Fembot are the final team to complete the challenge and are on their way.

It looks like a close race, at least that is what the edit shows... is it just a ploy, or is the race going to come down to the final stretch?

We see an empty spot with two travel bags in honor of Jackal and Lathum.

The team jumps onto the mat...

My two wolf games:

Game 1 (Labyrinth 2, also my first WW game):

D1/N1
1. The village gets 3 in the CoT on day 1 after the three telepaths reveal unchallenged (had I realized it at the time, we should have definitely had a wolf reveal as one).
2. We lynch the Phoenix, a villager that rises from the ashes after being lynched, so add another to the CoT.
3. The incidiary device is found the very first night on a wolf, the player sets it off, and kills him.
4. The night kill is blocked by the BG.

Game 2 (this game)
1. The very first vote of the game goes on me.
2. Two wolves on the block D1.
3. mau escapes from the chopping block with a fake reveal, but then a wolf goes down anyway after an error.
4. The night kill is blocked by the BG.

For those wondering, the bonus day kill was because a roled player was eliminated from the race and night-killed together (I believe).

The reason we didn't go after Lathum N2 or N3 is because the BG could block the same target multiple nights in a row and didn't want to throw away another kill when it was likely he was going to continue to self-block.

CrimsonFox

The thing is mau, half the time we've gotten vibes about people's comments or voting ort whatever they ended up being wrong. People did things for unusual reasons. Oh that's right, the bonus, that's what I was wondering about.

They didn;t know about the bonus until it was triggered.

I had two of them (of which they could earn the first one which was achieved).

Roled player being eliminated from the game via race loss and night kill on the same day yielded the unblockable. I thought this was not going to happen but Darth's team had really bad luck with their rolls that leg.

The other would have been a nonus night kill (with the same rules as a regular night kill) if the first person totally eliminated was a villager.

I figured that I needed to give them something a little extra as the talk after death rule could have been a rough one for them.

Autumn
03-08-2011, 10:45 PM
Yeah, seems fair. If the seer was killed but could still talk, that would make a big break for the village.

EagleFan
03-08-2011, 10:47 PM
Oh, for how the race worked.

For each leg I had the following parts:

1st travel - to the first challenge
roadblock
2nd travel - to the next challenge
detour
3rd travel - to the pitstop

For each of the sections I had a base time assigned.

From there I put skills and effort into the formula for the roll to determine an adjusted factor to the amount for that stage.

I then would apply the X-factor based on how much detail each team submitted. There were some bonuses in the details as well (like knowing that flying to The Falklands would be a huge risk).

The final factor would be the aggression. It would add time to a team that it was used against or remove some time from a team it was used for.

I tried to emphasize that details could help the most (I hope I got that across). I wanted to give teams a chance to make up for not having a certain skill by going over and above in the details.

The final leg added that other challenge and one moer travel phase.

I was out from that afternoon until early the next morning. Can you imagine feeling what I did when I came back and saw the thread had completely blown up? (not to mention the PMs) I thought mau would get called out immediately for not revealing his seer target before he left the thread after N1, so I think I told him to go in the thread and post that he scanned Chief Rum and that he was cleared. I picked him because he had some votes on him D1 and figured he would be logical, but I got mau in more trouble with that idea. I hadn't thought about scanning his partner, which was a good move by Darth as it turned out.

Funny thing about that -- a little bit before this game, I re-read the Olympics game you ran, in which I was also a wolf. Not that I'm saying no kill was the right move, just funny. I think I was out that night for my birthday (though past history obviously suggests that I have it in me to blank on the kill).

Great game, EF, thanks!

He did? I thought we forgot to submit a kill.

He blocked you (but as it turned out the end result was the same).

The only person that you had put up for kill was Lathum earlier before the mess started. While you never submitted a "night kill" PM I went back through to see what you had done and you had put him up as the night kill (by you I mean the wolves, can't remember which one started it).

Gave you guys the talked to him but he wouldn't listen to you result PM on that one.

What is it with wolves not submitting kills when I run a game? That happened in the 42 attempts game too but in that one the night kill that was not sent was one that would have ended the game.

If I remember correctly hoops was involved in that one (not as the wolf involved).

Those were my thoughts pretty much, too. Something like, "What the hell is wrong with EF that I keep forgetting to submit a night kill in his games? It must be something about the way he runs them...."

Good game, moles.

So I have seen bits and pieces, but I would like to see a wolf pretty much paint a picture of what happened I'm the wolves' war room the first three days. Mau's reveal, what happened with Martin, how much thought went into picking me for the "scan", mau's reveal again on Day 3. Etc.

Thanks for running the game, EF, and sorry for causing all the fun and games on Day 1 with my screwup - you made the right call to allow saldana to reveal that I was a wolf in-thread. I also need to apologise to saldana, as my mistake basically ruined his side of the race part of the game right from the start - it didn't help that I wasn't sure what I was allowed to do after being lynched (even if I could still post in-thread and help out with the race, there was a good chance that people would think that I was only doing it to help the wolves, and I didn't want to take the risk of making another mistake and messing the game up even more...)

Pass/JAG/cougarfreak - good job of getting yourselves out of a big hole at the start of the game (particularly cougarfreak, who played the last few days pretty much perfectly).

I can't say much about it, since I was not really following the game much for the first three days (Danny and Autumn were right to wonder about that). I feel like for both cases, we basically left them on their own. I missed the entire Martin thing, but with mau, we definitely weren't as interested in saving him as we were in finding out who was trying to cast doubt on it without explicitly revealing as the seer. It was pretty funny, though, to see everyone go on about how stupid the wolves were for not killing Lathum, then take it back once we got DV! Granted, we knew that Lathum was lying when he said he couldn't protect himself the next day. At least, when we asked EF if that was the case, he said we didn't know.

I think Packer should have argued his case more. This isn't the stage of the game to go quietly as a villager. It would have been hard to sway anyone, we really didn't have anything to go on. but it might have forced the others to respond at least. I find that the vibe from posts digs up wolves more often than a voting record.

I had tried in the morning, then I got busy in the afternoon and wasn't able to jump back on before deadline. It seemed that everyone was pretty hard set on voting me anyway, even though I did about as much as cougar did to paint myself as wolf - which is why I had my doubts on him in the first place. I guess that is why he wasn't nearly as talkative in the race portion for our team :)

Speaking of the race portion - unless I missed it, EF, can you explain what the heck happened on the day we were eliminated? Did someone use a bunch of aggression against us or something?

I do apologize to my villager teammates...I didn't do much to help my cause as a villager (and it usually doesn't take much to begin with), so for that I apologize.

I wasn't trying to get on you or anything, PF, just thinking more in a metagame sense - sometimes we get worn down and defeated at the end of the game, especially if the voting seems set. continuing to argue can at least force the last wolf to have to say something, maybe defend himself, shift things around a bit. Whereas early in the game I think it doesn't make as much sense to argue your case too much.

The devil is in the details... :)

You specifically detailed how you were going straight to Pondicherry after you arrived at Chennai. I had to add time to you for that but it did couple with aggression against you that day making it worse. I wasn't going to penalize you by having you go all the way there (it is at least a 3 hour trip just one way and that is with a good driver taking you) but with the penalty and other rolls you ended up in last anyway so I thought it would make a better writeup to have you go all the way there. :)

BTW that hijacking was all Lathum's idea. I was completely on board with it though, haha.

What did it for me I think was how quick you brought up a case against hoops at the end and then immediately switched to accusing ntndeacon. THose two were the two that were obviously villagers. I think if you had mounted a campaign against cougar a couple days earlier I would have definitely supported that as I had spidey sense about him early in the game, just no proof and absolutely no read on you.

What I'm curious of is did you have ANY doubts about cougar based on PM interaction as your teammate? I felt that we really were unlucky having you two be partners at the end because we couldn't get info that was useful based on that because whoever the wolf was was obviously going to lie.

Probably not a big surprise, but I think he was more upset about it than we were. I just chalked it up to bad luck myself. In the end it sort of worked out because there was confusion over interpreting the day 1 voting with him putting the third vote on Mau when both were revealed as wolves. I think hoops had a good post to that effect the day I was lynched.

PackerFanatic

Truthfully (regarding cougar being my partner), no, I had no inklings that he might be a wolf. As I said, he was fairly quiet for the most part, so the little he did say I didn't read much into. I would guess after the Martin fiasco, the other wolves were as tight-lipped as possible with their non-wolf partners :)

And yeah - I know my jumping around late yesterday certainly didn't help. I vow to play a lot better next time around :)

It did seem to me that the other wolves took it pretty well - the reaction was along the lines of 'OK, nothing we can do about this now, so let's just get on with the game'. (They also had bigger things to worry about, most notably what to do about Lathum when it wasn't clear if the bodyguard could guard someone on consecutive nights...)

I was in a bit of a tricky spot with my vote on Day 1, because the three players 'on the block' at the time were two wolves (mauboy and JAG) and one villager (Chief Rum), and I don't see much point in hiding my vote at that point. There's often a lot of value (usually coming out later on) in a wolf voting for a wolf - day 1 is an obvious time to do it, but it can really pay off later on in the game (see cougarfreak's votes for Pass near the end).

So EF, you told the wolves I could block in consecutive nights?

It was more that we saw the role description (below), and noticed that it didn't say that the bodyguard couldn't block the same person on consecutive nights.

Promotion Specialist - The promotion specialist knows how to promote the show and how to get everyone pumped up about the show. The promotion specialist may select one patron each night to promote the show's qualities to. If the player that he has chosen is not a mole and is the target of the moles that night the player will not be talked into giving up on the show and will continue to play with all of their abilities (bodyguard).

If I remember correctly, the discussion was along the lines of 'Well, if it's possible for Lathum to continue to protect himself, we're probably as well to make sure that we kill someone by looking somewhere else', which quickly led on to 'let's go seer hunting...' (We did check this with EF, who didn't explicitly confirm the multiple nights' blocking ability, but couldn't deny it either.)

(The timing of the unblockable kill becoming available was very useful! :) )

We asked him, and he said we didn't know. So it didn't seem worthwhile to go after you when there were possible seers out there, especially since the Vegas game taught us that you really like protecting yourself, and we at least knew there was a chance you could. Then when we got that unblockable kill, we figured we might as well use it on you then, since it could have been our only chance to get you (and the seer was gone, anyway).
