I believe 2ksports is focusing on the PS3 console for this game.

I seriously hope that they also release this for the Wii.

IMO, the Wii has a great shot at winning this console generation, and they would be foolish to not design for the potentially dominant console. Plus, with a big enough SD card, you could handle the roster updates with ease.

Ain't gonna happen. 2K doesn't make Wii or PC games. Don't know why, but they don't.

I think 2K (along with EA) bet on the PS3 and 360 rather than the Wii. The slower than expected PS3 sales will result in lower game sales for everyone. Too bad 2K didn't have the resources to plan on a Wii version of 2K8. Maybe in 2008? The sales of the Wii can't be ignored, and development costs are fairly low.

Now, with the XNA development kits that MS is pushing, you are supposed to be able to port games from PC to 360, or vis versa, very easily. Maybe 2K will be tempted to do a PC version of 2K8?

I thought that 2K is making an arcade MLB game for the Wii?


Not a good decision to not make this game for the Wii, because if you placed all 3 consoles together and started them on the same date, Wii would be decidedly beating the other 2 consoles. In my mind, and with the 360's sales behind those of the original XBOX at the same point in time, the Wii is this generation's current leader.
