Ive been playing 2k5 for years now and decided to pick this up. I was just wondering what things do I need to know about this game. What are some of the bad things I should look out for? Thanks!!

A lot of cheesers. If you want to play online, set a game up on here. I learned the hard way.... my record is 1 - 4.

Wow that sucks!! Hopefully I can become good enough to play online. I'll give it a couple of weeks then I'll test online gamers. When you say cheesers im guessing that means people that take advantage of the glitches. Are there things than can stop some of these cheap plays? By the way SteelVelvet is my xbox live screen name. Feel free to hit me up. And that goes for anyone thats not a cheeser, lol.

I picked it up with little online experience with 2k5 and now I can hold my own pretty well. Give yourself about a month and a dozen or so games and you'll be ok. The more dedication you have towards getting better, the faster you'll progress. Just try and mix things up and keep people on their toes.

Great advice! Is this game laggy online like 2k5 was? Also, what are the best approach for offense and defense? Like is there a certain formation thats good for running and what formation on defense is good for covering wideouts without giving up big runs? Sorry for the dumb questions.

A lot less laggy. My GT is in my sig. I am on every day especially on the weekends. On Mondays through Thursday I get on around 5:30PM Eastern. This weekend I might not be able to play. But add me and I will play you almost anytime you want.

Play people with 85%+ reputations. This game is a BLAST to play online. It's perfect for it, think both teams have to be balanced.

I played a guy with 90% and he was a ultimate cheeser. I can't take this anymore. Not too many people play this, and the ones who do and play real football play one or two times a week. Gahhh... We need a topic for those who play everyday and play sim ball.
