We are home and hosting the Binghamton Mets as my turn rolls around. I threw pretty well although my command still needs some work as I walked 3 and fanned 4. I allowed two solo homers in the sixth among the 5 hits allowed and was pulled in the top of the 8th after walking the first batter. We were ahead 7-3 when I left and that was the final score. This makes two wins in the last two decisions.

We are back on the road and facing the Bowie Baysox. I allow a single run in the 2nd inning and scatter 6 hits and a walk before being pulled in the bottom of the 6th after striking out the first hitter. Why, I don't know but I'm not going to ask. The score was 1-0, Baysox, when I was pulled and that was the final score.

We are now in Erie, Pennsylvania to take on the SeaWolves as I take the mound. The team stakes me with a 6-run lead after a 6-run second and that would be all that I need. I allowed only 3 hits, one being a solo homer in the bottom of the 5th, and no walks with my night being done after I allowed a 2-out single in the last of the 7th. We were winning 15-1 when I left and the team tacked on two more in the top of the 8th as we win, 17-1, my third win in four decisions.

The manager called me into the office to let me know that my goal period had ended. Although I made all 3 of my goals, Twins management stated that I need more time in double-A.

Two Week Goals
1. Increase stamina
2. Increase H/9 attribute
3. Have a WHIP lower than 1.750
4. Have at least 10.0 innings pitched
5. Allow 16 hits or less


Today is also my turn to pitch as we are at home hosting the Erie SeaWolves. I allowed a home run to lead off the game then allow a run in the top of the 5th as I scatter 8 hits in my 5 2/3 innings of work. I fanned 3 and walked no one as I have now gone 17 2/3 innings while walking only one batter.

They say that all good things come to an end. We are hosting the Akron Aeros and I am tagged for 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings. I allowed 6 hits and walked one, striking out 2. I left with the score 4-1, Aeros, and they won the game, 7-2.

We have clinched a wild card berth in the Eastern League playoffs as we host the Binghamton Mets. My only mistake through 7 innings was a solo home run in the top of the 5th. In the top of the 8th, I allowed a leadoff single then struck out the next two batters and the manager came out to get me. I left with the score 4-1 but the reliever following me allowed the runner to score. We won the game 5-3.

I don't know why, but the manager had me make one more start to end the regular season. I only went one inning and allowed a 2-run home run to go along with a single and two walks. Not a good effort but what can you expect. We lost the game for my 14th loss of the season. Boy those balls sure get small quick when those home runs are hit.
