The early third of the MLB season has come and come, and the Toronto Blue Jays find themselves holding down the first place position in the American League East Standings.
First baseman Edwin Encarnacion has contributed greatly to what has been a potent offensive lineup so far, knocking in 32 RBIs, in part due to his 11 home runs that he has hit.
After a surprisingly hot start for R.A. Dickey and Jose Bautista, both has somewhat fallen back to their original standards, with Bautista slashing a decent .276/.314/.524, but has recently seen his strikeout numbers increase, due to his chasing of pitches outside of the zone.
Dickey on the other hand, has continued his dominant start to the season, posting a 2.90 ERA with a sub 1.00 WHIP in eight starts this season, where he has accumulated an astonishing 62 innings pitched.
The Blue Jays need to continue their consistent contributions to secure their place among the top of the American League East Standings if they wish to continue having a shot at the playoffs, with the Baltimore Orioles tied for the lead and the hated New York Yankees just 1.5 games behind both of them.

I used Photoshop to edit a template that I downloaded from somewhere (can't remember). Do you think this is better than the traditional box score and news recap?

Hmmm... I'm debating what is better to use. I can see the box score providing more in depth information, along with a news recap - similar to something you would read online or in the newspaper. The ESPN template seems to be quicker and more to the point. Both are good, but I'm trying to find one that will work and one that I can stick to for the time being.

Blue Jays Drop Second Straight in Arlington
Ross Goes Seven Strong Against Jays
After barely getting past the Toronto Blue Jays in the first game of the series, the Texas Rangers showed it was no fluke, beating the Jays once again on a sunny afternoon.
Lefty Robbie Ross went seven strong innings for the Rangers, holding the Jays to just two runs on seven hits while striking out eight, almost an exact replication of what Tanner Scheppers was able to do the night before.
After taking an early 2-1 lead, the Blue Jays could not contain the Rangers offence in the seventh inning, where they struck for four runs on five straight hits, effectively chasing Mark Buehrle from the game.
Jose Bautista and catcher Dioner Navarro both picked up RBIs for the Blue Jays, who could not capitalize on doubles from Melky Cabrera, Edwin Encarnacion and Maicer Izturis.
The Blue Jays try to avoid the sweep tomorrow afternoon in Arlington as lefty Derek Holland takes on hard throwing right hander Brandon Morrow.
