D-Will to Win: 76ers fall on Deron Williams buzzer beater
By Jaggo Smorts

The Philadelphia 76ers and Nets have been Atlantic Division foes for decades now, yet never have they seemed like true rivals. Maybe it was the move to the most hated state in Philadelphia, New York. Maybe it's that the two teams are finally coming close to a competitive balance, it's true that both teams have never simultaneously at the same level of competition in the NBA. Whatever it is, it seems to have sparked some fire between these two teams.

Round One of this season's battle was chalked up to Deron Williams (14 PTS, 7 REB, 6 AST) and the Brooklyn Nets, with their 95-94 victory last night in Philadelphia. The game was more similar to a heavyweight bout with each team trading blows or in their case, leads. The lead changed 20 times in this game, which goes to show just how tight this one was throughout.

For Philadelphia, who came in to the game fresh off of their loss of Jrue Holiday, looked determined against the experienced Brooklyn roster. Jeff Teague ran the offense well in his first start at Point Guard for the team. The Sixers' biggest contributor on the night was Nick Young, who poured in 30 points.

The game sets up an interesting three more games between these two teams. At this rate, and it is early but, both teams look to be vying for the Atlantic Division crown. They have company in both the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics, who all sit within two games of the top spot.

Tough loss against the Nets. Playing a game for an hour or so and then losing it on the final shot is not nice at all. I feel your pain, haha.

It was a killer, especially considering it was the game following Holiday going down. No doubt this is a W with Holiday in there but we'll move on.

This looks good. Too bad my work computer is garbage and cuts out half of the screen. I'm actually looking forward to reading this when I get home.
