Happy Holiday: Jrue's BIG 4th lifts Sixers over Magic
By Jaggo Smorts

Rarely since the days of Allen Iverson have the fans of the Philadelphia 76ers been treated to a dominant scoring performance like the one that Jrue Holiday put on last night. The fans are just hoping that he can keep it up.

Holiday poured in 31 points, 15 of them coming in the 4th quarter, and the Phiadelphia 76ers came from behind to defeat the Orlando Magic 86-84 last night.

The win is the first of the season for Philadelphia, who desperately needed a spark from someone on the offensive side of the ball in the early season. With two mediocre performances to start the season, Holiday wasn't looking like the candidate for the job. Jrue exploded though, for a huge 21 points in the second half alone. Without him Philadelphia would most certainly have fallen to 0-3 on the season, because their offense was looking as stagnant as ever in the first half.

Omar Casspi, of the new look Magic, scored a career high 26 points and was absolutely deadly from the three point line all night. It wasn't enough on this night though, and the Sixers now look ahead to a matchup with the Rockets who come in at 1-3 on the season.

INTERACTIVE QUESTION #1:

Philly.Com Web Poll
Your feelings on Kwame Brown's start to the season:
(25.0 MPG, 2.7 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 0.7 BPG)

A. Meh, not good or bad.
B. Get him out!
C. Give him a chance, he's new to the system.

Just reply with your vote, it'll have the chance to affect how the rotation is made up for the upcoming few games.

C.

If the dude is averaging over 8 boards on 25 minutes per game... you play that man. If he played 35 minutes, he would be averaging well over 10-11 rebounds per game. Like a less athletic Rodman. And his role is never offense, it's rebounding and defense. I wish there was a way to track altered shots, because that's more Kwame's game, as apposed to blocking shots.

And I'm sure you've noticed, but something got SUPER messed up with your coding on page 2. Can't read anything from the last five or so posts.
