Yea I don't like scoring that many points so I'm going to tweak down the offensive sliders some. The next couple of games are a little better.

Pistons - Round 1 Game 2

Atlanta takes care of business in game 2 with a 22 point victory after a slow start. It was a group effort as 6 different guys scored over 15 points. Bol was once again the player of the game with 21 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assist, 2 steals and 5 blocks. Zion was just a notch below him flirting with a triple double. Drummond logged major minutes for Detroit and had a 20-20 game. If your going to call anyone out for them it was the trio of wings Kennard, Thomas and Brown who didn't do much in a combined 79 minutes.

Pistons - Round 1 Game 3

In a must game for the Pistons it was tied at the end of the 3rd. Bol didn't do much in the first 3 quarters, but dominated in the 4th. Thomas 3 for the Pistons would cut the lead to 4 with 3:36 to go. Musa hit a corner 3 right after that to put the lead back up to 7. Huerter would ice the game with a 3 that put the lead at 7 with just 30 seconds on the clock. This series is basically over now as Atlanta goes up 3-0.

Detroit once again scored a lot of points with Kennard stepping up with 23-7-6. Drummond was a monster again with another 20-20 game. The two issues was Allen didn't do much in 40 minutes and star young PG Cole Anthony was mostly a non factor.

This game it was Murrays time to shine as he scored 23 points and just about had a triple double. He took 11 FT's in the game and was the main reason Detroit was in some foul trouble. Zion and Trae was once again good, but not great. Atlanta got solid player from several role players like Collins and Huerter.

Pistons - Round 1 Game 4

A Bol Bol layup with 45 seconds gave Atlanta a 2 point lead. Kennard nailed a corner 3 a few seconds later to put Detroit up 1. Then both teams swapped baskets Trae Young with 2 FT's and Jarret Allen with a mid range jumper.

Now it was Atlanta's ball down 1 with 11 seconds to go. Atlanta wasn't looking for a 3 here so they subbed in their best players at driving to the hole. The ball would go to Lamelo Ball and he wouldn't pass it up. He drove to the lane got past his man Thomas a great perimeter defender. He then faced Drummond one of the games best shot blocking big men in the league. He took the ball in his left hand swapped to other side and drilled the buzzer beater to give Atlanta the sweep.

Detroit got some much needed playoff experience this year and they should be better then a 7th seed next year. This game was all about the shot at the end and Ball is showing why the front office believes he has the IT factor. Atlanta decided to rest Musa up 3-0 and they gave his minutes to Ball and Hunter.

Western 1st round results

Lakers beat Warriors in 5 games with Durant coming back toward the end of the series

Suns beat the Jazz in 7 games with the last game decided by 2 points

Rockets beat Nuggets in 5 games

Kings come back after losing the first 2 games and upset the Timberwolves. Jeremy Marks had averages of 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assist including scoring 26-31-30 in the final 3 games.

Knicks - Round 2 Game 1

Atlanta takes game 1 after a 7 point win at home. New York is a big team with Deandre Jordan and KP in the front court still Atlanta was able to win the rebound battle.

Cam Reddish was unbelievable in this one scoring 39 points on just 21 shots. New York has so many weapons with Butler, Lillard, KP and Knox its going to be hard to double team anyone. It was again a balanced effort for Atlanta with 7 people scoring more then 13 points. Murray deserves a shoutout with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assist and 3 steals. Whitney was available to play in this game and while he didn't see any minutes he is expected to make his debut in game 2. The carousal of wings for this one saw Musa play bad and Hunter play well.

Knicks - Round 2 Game 2

Atlanta wins another close game with pretty similar stats outside of +15 in assists. New York had 3 players score over 20 points with Cam Reddish taking a step back with only 14 points.

Kahlil Whitney made his return and he saw limited action with 9 minutes. Its expected he will see more minutes next game with Ball being dropped from the rotation. Zion and Trae both were back on top of the scoring with over 20 points each. Musa provided the scoring he was brought here for with 17 points in just 18 minutes. Collins didn't do much in 22 minutes but this is a tough series for him against KP and Jordan.
