Yeah, whatshisname. How Floyd made $30+ mill against that draw is a testament to his nickname.

winning isn't that much of a longshot.
Floyd can never have too much money.

This is a fight that had to happen for both fighters for different reasons. For Alvarez this might be the biggest payday he will ever get in guaranteed money. Although this is too early and a huge leap in levels for him he couldn't say no. Floyd wants to keep setting records with PPV and with Pac not willing to fight him he had to find an opponent who would excite the masses. Floyd wins this on an easy decision.

would anyone else rater Matthysse? I would, I know the weight is off, but I just like it better...maybe I'm wrong.
While I agree that would also be an entertaining fight and one I would like to see, Canelo brings the bigger name and is undefeated. Plus, it looks like more of a "challenge" for Floyd to say he is fighting a young, strong, undefeated boxer who could enter the ring @170+. I really think that the poor ppv numbers for the Guerrero fight lead to the Canelo decision. I'm sure Matthysse will be one of the remaining 4 fights...

It won't be easy. If Cotto wasn't easy this one surely won't be.

This fight is tailor made for Floyd. Alvarez is still a wild puncher that gets gassed and can be easily frustrated. Trout showed at least that much.
