With Rhule’s collegiate track record, I’m amazed this was the best he could do. And he may have ended up signing earlier enough that gave me “he’s the guy we want” vibes.

Edit: read an article, Thompson was around in spring ball and transferred when he got "beat out" by Sims (after the latter's spring game performance). He transferred in soon after Rhule got hired. Yikes.
Neither of them were going to be the QB long-term and there weren't a lot of starter level QBs. Backups yes but not QBs who were starters and looking for a better team. Sims has the measurables that makes anyone think they can make him a QB.

I can't wait for the meltdowns that will be coming from Dabo, even though I won't mind if he stays around and keeps them sucking.

I don’t disagree - I went back and looked and outside of Hartman, Leary, and Sanders, there wasn’t a ton of top tier QBs on the market.

Your last sentence is what I think it is - they got their guy and they necessarily weren’t looking at bringing in more competition to the QB room - which is the baffling part.

Had he signed later in the window, that’d be one thing. I took a quick look and there were better options unsigned. But for all I know, they weren’t interested in Nebraska. So Simms it is.

Looks like Clemson is starting to flex, but I’m sure there were some anxious/frustrated fans in the stands.

What's the beef with Dabo?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Whiny little.... he also gets a lot of credit for what his assistant coaches did. Without the assistant coaches staying there so long, he would have been fired. He was also on the verge of being fired before the assistant coaches were hired.

McCarthy looks amazing. Like top 10 pick type of play and throws. Can’t wait to see how he looks in the big games this year because right now it looks like he’s made a huge step in development.

Re: Week 2 Discussion

Somehow Miami will have a lead at half despite Texas A&M being gifted 14 points. Literally. The two TD "drives' they have were for 15 and 9 yards each.
