Dropping 8 and 9 back into soft coverage hardly ever works in that scenario unless your DL is full of pass rushing monsters. Clemson's defense stopped them most of the half bringing pressure and not allowing Travis to buy time.

They did the exact opposite of that on that final drive. Blows my mind coaches get paid the money they do at times.
