Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

I heard he wants to start right away. I don't think Kelly was willing to make that commitment to him. Not sure if he was even ever that high on ND, wanted to stay closer to home, I think, but Indiana imploded. I honestly think he had Vandy pretty high for a while, they have a decent recruiting class, closer to home and he would have most likely been given a shot to start right a way.

Good luck to him, I think he'll fit LSU's system nicely.

Unless Mett gets caught doing something stupid (again) and Stephen Rivers absolutely sucks it up, this is not happening.

Yeah atleast not for this year then we'll see after depending on Mett's draft stock. Hope he's willing to take a Redshirt this coming year as we can just roll with Mett/Rivers/Randall for the year and save him a year of eligibility

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

Looks like 4* OLB Lorenzo Phillips will commit to LSU after his official visit on 1/20

This recruiting class is really shaping up to be quite nice

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

Interesting to see if Mario Edwards changes his commitment down the stretch, as he'll take his final 2 visits to FSU then LSU. Being a fan of both he'd be nice to have, but i'd rather him go to LSU

Also it appears one of the top DBs Tracy Howard will be deciding between UF and LSU as well

Look for quite a bit of the Tennessee class on the defensive side to reevaluate their commitment. DC Justin Wilcox and LB coach Peter Sirmon will be leaving to coach at Washington

Re: 2012 Recruiting Thread

Found this to be hilarious.

Kevon Seymour of Pasadena (Calif.) Muir was annoyed he had No. 41 instead of his preferred No. 1. And Seymour willingly admits he'll look at the rosters of potential colleges to see if No. 1 is available. If it's not, the school's chances of landing him diminish.

Mike Davis of Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson made such a fuss about his assigned No. 16 that he was given a new number (14), making him the only player without his name on his jersey. But that didn't help - neither was the No. 28 he wanted.
