I don't understand why LSU continues to be ranked ahead a slew of one-loss teams.

The SoFla media has completely let loose on Richt already. Seems nobody is really on his side at this point from the fans to the media. It's crazy how they defended Golden nearly to the end, but are already airing out how much control Richt lacks inside the program. A lot of pieces coming out like he is a very smug person when the cameras are not on.


Interesting to see how fast this program has sunk under him going back 12 months.

They do, but I just think it’s odd the committee punishes Ohio State for struggling against subpar competition, but then doesn’t seem to do the same with LSU.

Thy do have the really impressive win against Georgia, but a lot of their other seemingly good wins came against teams that turned out to be overrated (Auburn, Miami).

I just wouldn’t put them ahead of the other one-loss teams, personally. That being said, there’s no path for them to make the playoff, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Yeah I agree. There's definitely a SEC bias, conscious or sub-conscious, where the top half of the league gets the benefit of the doubt.

I have been completely unimpressed with LSU this year...and yet voters see something different. Florida, who isn't that great this year, really handled them. I know LSU played great against UGA, and that is what is propping them up, IMO, but they didn't even show a pulse against Alabama and have struggled with lesser teams. IMO, they belong in the 10-15 range, but at this point it doesn't matter...they aren't making the playoff.

I don't know if I'd say Florida completely handled them. LSU was driving to take the lead when the pick-6 happened that sealed the game.

After the first drive, Florida outscored them 27-12 and really shut down LSU's offense. LSU had a 75 yard TD drive and an 80 yard TD drive, but outside of those two drives they really struggled to move the ball. It was a good game, but seeing how Florida has played this year and seeing how they handled LSU's offense I just didn't come away impressed.
