I've been in such an NBA-heavy mode the last two months but last night I got back into my UConn legacy. I'm at the start of the Big Dance in year 3, I have a #1 seed against lowly Marist, was 10-23 but won their conference tournament to get into the tournament.

I start off the game pressing and go up 12-0 after a sick sequence in which I did a pick-n-roll with Kemba Walker and Ater Majok which lead to a one handed dunk by Majok, then Walker got a steal on the press and threw a beautiful alley oop to Majok plus the foul causing Marist to call a time out. It is amazing how much of a difference a great point guard makes in this game.

Anyway, my guys got a little cocky and Marist went on a run of their own and took a 17-16 lead. My D was really lacadisical (life after Thabeet has been rough in the paint, especially with a freshman center). The game was back and forth for the rest of the half and the start of the 2nd. It was knotted up at 50 before my D finally stepped up and I went on a 16-0 run en route to a 22 point win.

Can't wait to play my second round game against Creighton.
Yup this game will not die anytime soon, NBA2k need to take the route with less jacked up ratings becuz in that game you cant really tell the diff between Lebron and G. Wallace...Unlike NBA, ratings matter in this game and its awesome!!!!

NBA LIVE10 will be having new low ratings so that game is in my watch list for the first time since Melo was on the cover......

I agree, I rarely put this game down for more than a week anymore. I have put it down for a few months once or twice since I started my Wright State dynasty but I haven't done that since the beginning of season 2. I don't know what it is about this game but it never seems to get old.

My 3rd year has been pretty nice so far, the main reason is that I have 3 senior starters. My SG/SF both have full game experience bar and my SG is the coach on floor.

I'm 9-4, and I almost beat Texas last week but lost 74-70 but it was a close game until the final 5 seconds but my team couldn't get the rebounds on the missed free throws

I also played another top 25 team, Cincinnati, but got absolutely destroyed by them. Deonta Vaughn absolutely lit me up.

I've thought about leaving Wright State because I think my team is getting too good for the conference but I'm going to wait until after next year to decide. I have a feeling my success is mostly because of my seniors and next year I won't have nearly as good a team so I think I may return to the 20-10 record area. Conference teams haven't put much of a fight up against me so far.

I also did something I hadn't done before(including past games in this series), I signed all 4 recruits I offered a scholarship to before the recruiting period ended.

Re: This game owns my soul.

I play every game on 14 min halves and then when my boys go pro I play 8 min quarters.

I have avg scores around 65-75 points. I did however lose to Kansas at Kansas with Toledo 44-104 last season!

Thumbs up Re: This game owns my soul.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! It's the only game I continue to play 2.5 years after it was released. NCAA Basketball will never come even close to the love I feel for this game! I can see this game still being very popular even as another generation of consoles come out!

with 2k9 its more of an issue with sliders than ratings. You can give people sensible overall ratings and it will still give them high overall ratings. The ratings have issues but the high scale isnt real problem.
