I would except I have already played my first game. I'll post the recap tomorrow. I'm too tired right now.

Thanks for the comments!

Week 1- Connecticut Huskies (0-0) @ Duke Blue Devils (0-0)

Huskies Can't Play Defense, Lose 45-43!

Code:
     1 2 3 4 Final
     _ _ _ _ _____
CONN 0 14 22 7 43
DUKE 7 31 7 0 45

              CONN DUKE
Total Offense 437 618
Passing Yards 255 413
Rushing Yards 182 205
Turnovers 3 6

Huskies Leaders
T. Lorezen- 9-16, 148 yds., 2 TDs, INT, 162.7 QB Rating
DJ Hernandez- 6-17, 107 yds., TD, INT, 95.8 QB Rating
D. Brown- 16 rushes, 133 yds., 2 TDs
A. Dixon- 7 rushes, 41 yds., TD
D. Brown- 6 rec., 105 yds., TD
L. Taylor- 3 rec., 90 yds., TD
G. Mourning- 12 TKLs, 1 TFL, 1 INT
D. Ford- 9 TKLs, 2 INTs
Coaches Comments: Well, we didn't get the win in my first Division 1 game. We played terrible defense in the first half, particularly the 2nd quarter. My defensive unit is going to be practicing a little longer this coming week. DJ Hernandez played terrible in the first half, so I brought in backup quarterback Lorenzen to play and he did well. He completed 9 of 16 passes for 148 yards, two touchdowns, and a single interception. I think I am still going to start Hernandez versus 1-AA or now FCS Maine.

Streak: Lost 1

Record: 0-1 (0-0)

Next Game: Satruday, September 8th, 2007 vs. Maine

Maine @ Connecticut Huskies (0-1)

Huskies Win as Expected 72-0!

Total Offense 135 615
Passing Yards 100 368
Rushing Yards 35 247
Turnovers 2 3

Huskies Leaders
DJ Hernandez- 15-26, 290 yds., 6 TDs, 3 INTs, 204.4 QB Rating
T. Lorenzen- 4-6, 78 yds., TD, 230.8 QB Rating
D. Brown- 15 rushes, 105 yds.
A. Dixon- 12 rushes, 73 yds.
D. Brown- 3 rec., 87 yds., TD
S. Brouse- 2 rec., 63 yds., 2 TDs
D. McKhan- 7 TKLs
D. Davis- 5 TKLs, 5 TFL, 3 Sacks
Coaches Comments: Well, I picked up my first Division 1 win. Unfortunately, it was aginast an FCS team. I still need to beat a BCS team. DJ Hernandez performed well enough to keep his starting job. I think at times he got a little to aggressive leading to the 3 picks he threw, but we can work in that in practice. Our defense was superb. I think that's my first shutout I've ever coached, even down in the NAIA level.

Streak: Won 1

Record: 1-1 (0-0)

Next Game: Saturday, September 15th, 2007 vs. Temple Owls (1-1)

Week 3- Temple Owls (1-1) @ Connecticut Huskies (1-1)

Huskies Win 31-20!

Code:
     1 2 3 4 Final
     _ _ _ _ _____
TEM 17 3 0 0 20
CONN 10 7 14 0 31

               TEM CONN
Total Offense 340 416
Passing Yards 265 206
Rushing Yards 75 210
Turnovers 3 3

Huskies Leaders
T. Lorenzen- 11-24, 115 yds., TD, INT, 91.5 QB Rating
DJ Hernandez- 4-8, 91 yds., 2 INTs, 95.5 QB Rating
A. Dixon- 19 rushes, 99 yds., TD
D. Brown- 10 rushes, 81 yds., TD
L. Cox- 3 rec., 35 yds,
K. Poles- 2 rec., 43 yds.
D. Butler- 7 TKLs
T. Baltimore- 7 TKLs, 2 TFL, 2 INTs, 66 INT Return yds.
Coaches Thoughts: Well, we played okay, I suppose. We definetely could have played better. We got off to a slow start, but picked it up in the 3rd quarter. Our defense played very well other than the 1st quarter, when we allowed 17 points.

The quarterback situation is defintely heating up. DJ Hernandez struggled early throwing 2 picks in his first 8 pass attempts. He brought in Lorenzen, who didn't play great, but played good enough. Lorenzen will get the start against Pittsburgh next week.

We lost star runningback Donald Brown to a torn pectoral for 2 weeks. He'll miss the Pittsburgh game and the Akron game. He'll definitely be missed.

Streak: Won 2

Record: 2-1 (0-0)

Injuries:
Donald Brown, HB: Torn Pectoral (2 weeks)
Larry Taylor, WR: Foot Fracture (10 weeks)

Next Game: Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 @ Pittsburgh Panthers (2-1)

Week 4- Pittsburgh Panthers (2-1) @ Connecticut Huskies (2-1)

Huskies Upset Pittsburgh 34-33!
Code:
     1 2 3 4 Final
     _ _ _ _ _____
CONN 7 7 0 20 34

              CONN TEM
Total Offense 483 413
Passing Yards 289 238
Rushing Yards 194 175
Turnovers 3 2

Huskies Leaders
T. Lorenzen- 17-34, 289 yds., TD, 2 INTs, 119.3 QB Rating, Rushing TD
A. Dixon- 22 rushes, 138 yds.
K. Poles- 56 rec., 86 yds.
L. Allen- 3 rec., 99 yds., TD
R. Henegan- 8 TKLs, 1 TFL
D. Butler- 6 TFLs, 1 INT, 40 INT ret. yds.
Coaches Comments: Wow, what a game! The first Big East Conference game of my coaching career was a good one. We were down 27-14 at the end of the 3rd quarter, but engineered a 20-6 4th quarter to get the win. Our quarterback, Tyler Lorenzen, scored a 2 yard rushing touchdown with just 13 seconds remaining in the game. We failed on the 2-point conversion, but it didn't matter as we won 34-33 and improve to 3-1!

Streak: Won 3

Record: 3-1 (1-0)

Next Game: 3:30 P.M., Saturday, September 29th, 2007 vs. Akron Zips (2-2)
