Week 5- Akron Zips (2-2) @ Connecticut Huskies (3-1)

Zips Shock Huskies 33-18!

Code:
     1 2 3 4 Final
     _ _ _ _ _____
AKRN 0 23 7 3 33
CONN 0 9 3 6 18

               TEM CONN
Total Offense 319 323
Passing Yards 279 249
Rushing Yards 40 74
Turnovers 0 6

Huskies Leaders
T. Lorenzen- 13-29, 196 yds., TD, 4 INTs
A. Dixon- 16 Rushes, 72 yds., TD
B. Kanuch- 3 rec., 85 yds., TD
R. Henegan- 9 TKLs, 5 TFL, 3 Sacks
T. Baltimore- 9 TKLs
Coaches Comments: Well, plain and simple, we played a bad game. We couldn't get much of a rushing attack going and struggled. Tyler [Lorenzen] struggled throwing 4 picks. I think in out next game versus Virginia, I'll play DJ [Hernandez] some and see how he fare. This quarterback situation is killing me as I can't seem to find the right guy who will get the job done.

Streak: Lost 1

Record: 3-2 (1-0)

Next Week: Bye Week

Week 7- Connecticut Huskies (3-2) @ Virginia Cavaliers (2-4)

Huskies Fall 49-21 to the Virginia Cavaliers!
Code:
     1 2 3 4 Final
     _ _ _ _ _____
UVA 7 14 28 0 49
CONN 0 0 0 21 21

              CONN UVA
Total Offense 273 466
Passing Yards 134 273
Rushing Yards 139 193
Turnovers 4 2

Huskies Leaders
Dennis Brown- 6-8, 84 yds.
Donald Brown- 27 Rushes, 66 yds., TD
S. Brouse- 3 rec., 48 yds.
G. Mourning- 8 TKLs
T. Branch- 7 TKLs
Coaches Comments- This was a very cheap fumble filled game. It's pretty hard to win when your starting runningback Donald Brown lays the ball on the turf 4 times because the computer is ******** and is going to cheat me like it likes to in this game!!!

In other news, both D.J. Hernandez and Tyler Lorenzen have both lost ther jobs. The starting quarterback for our next game will be former-third-stringer Dennis Brown, who impressed me coming in for the 2nd half. Brown, a true sophomore, has less speed than DJ or Tyler, but can throw the ball more accurately, which is what we need around here.

Streak: Lost 2

Record: 3-3 (1-0)

Next Week: Saturday, October 13th, 2007 vs. #3 Louisville Cardinals (7-0)

#3 Louisville Cardinals (7-0) @ Connecticut Huskies (3-3)

Huskies fall to 3rd Ranked Cardinals 38-3!
Code:
     1 2 3 4 Final
     _ _ _ _ _____
LOU 10 7 7 14 38
CONN 0 3 0 0 3

               LOU CONN
Total Offense 473 251
Passing Yards 283 200
Rushing Yards 190 51
Turnovers 1 4

Huskies Leaders
Dennis Brown- 16-30, 200 yds., 2 INTs, 95.9 QB Rating
Donald Brown- 13 Rushes, 44 yds.
K. Poles- 10 rec., 101 yds.
R. Henagan- 10 TKLs, 1 TKL
Coaches Comments: We played a decent game. We lost as I thought we would, but we actually played pretty well. Our defense held up better than I thought we would. I think our defense has improved. We allowed 45 points to Duke in our first game, but only allowed 38 to a high powered Brian Brohm led Louisville offense.

Streak: Lost 3

Record: 3-4 (1-1)

Next Week: Saturday, October, 27th, 2007 vs. South Florida Bulls (3-4)

Lookin' good James! I want to do a dynasty report but I'm already in my 5th season.

Thanks for the kind feedback! You can still do a dynasty report, just start reporting on it in your fifth season!

Yeah, I know I could still do one but it just wouldn't be the same. I think that's a part of the fun...watching a team struggle. How much fun would it have been to read about my team the first 3 seasons going 3-9, 4-8 and 5-7 to get a bowl bid in year 4 followed by a 4-year contract extension?
