pass rush is not consistant, i agree. I turned CPU Pass Block down to 20 and turned Human break block to 80. To offset moving up break block, i turned up CPU run blocking to 100....CPU can still run the ball and i get better pressure....much better actually. been playing like this for 6 games now and the cpu rushing is good. only 1 game under 100 yards as a team

chew clock....cpu does use this, but only when appropriate for them....meaning a real life situation like end of the half/game

im also having no issue with the lob type passes. been very sucsessful at the deep ball throwing over the shoulder and dropping it in

Very true...Tapping the throw button allows for the user to drop the ball over the shoulder and you do not see the crazy leap from the defender to knock it away. If you tap it gently then there is arc on the ball and you can hit the receiver in stride without him jumping to make a grab and losing speed.

EA did a good job with that this year.

Re: ***Official Impressions Thread (360/PS3)***

I have the game and the jury is still out for me. My first game I was Michigan (in the Big House) against Kansas on Heisman( 8 minute quarters) with very little slider tweaks, and it was 35-28 Kansas with 3 minutes to go IN THE FIRST HALF. There was no defense on either side of the ball, as guys were getting open for huge chunks of yards on almost every play. Also, the CPU breaks WAY too many tackles and leaps over almost every tackle that you try to make which is pretty damn frustrating. Michigan had NO pass rush, even with jump the snap set to aggressive. I am going to play some more and see if I get varied results, but my first impression isn't a good one so far

Re: ***Official Impressions Thread (360/PS3)***

Alright I just played two very different games and am left scratching my head a little bit, but also enjoying this game even more. Here’s some random impressions from each game. (Played on AA with 6 minute quarters)

I took on Mizzou with Texas A&M at Kyle Field. While the score showed this game as a defensive battle, the Missouroffensive stats said anything but.

Missouri’s QB finished the game 26-33 for 325 yards and no INT’s. (I was scared because this was the first semblance of “Robo QB” that I have encountered) I simply could not stop the pass. Yet somehow, I always managed to bat the ball down or hit him when it counted.

-My only touchdown came on a 55 yard screen pass in the 1st quarter. I finished 11-30 for 123 yards with one TD and one INT. I also fumbled three times.

-Missouri had success with the run when they actually chose to do so. I, on the other hand, couldn’t run for jack. I think I had 21 carries for 52 yards. lace> had around 60 something yards on about 10 carries.

-I have the FG power slider for CPU down to 25, but Missouri hit 51 and 53 yarders with ease.

-I managed to come away with 3 user sacks and generated moderate pressure by using defensive keys and mixing up audibles and defensive calls.

My next game I choose East Carolina and play against UCLA in Pasadena in the pouring rain. This game was entirely different.

-Any thoughts I had about “Robo QB” rearing its ugly head was put to rest in this game. I literally held UCLA’s QB to NO completions in the 1stINT in the first quarter. UCLA couldn’t get anything done on the ground either. quarter. He went 0-9 with 1

-Meanwhile, while I couldn’t ever really get anything started with A&M, I was lighting it up with ECU. My QB was 8-10 for 109 yards in the 1st quarter. The running game was working too, as I had 8 carries for 82 yards and 2 TD’s.

-UCLA fumbled twice in the 1st half and threw 2 picks. I didn’t fumble or throw any interceptions.

-It sucks that field degredation is pretty much absent, but I really do notice the rain’s effects on player jerseys more. I really like it. The scuffs/mud on UCLA’s helmets were really noticeable.

-UCLA’s QB finished the first half 3-16 for 32 yards and 2 INT’s. I was rolling, as I had taken one fumble and one INT to the house, and my offense was on fire. I had over 200 through the air and 130 something on the ground to take a 42-7 lead into halftime. I honestly think this may have been my biggest lead ever on AA on Next-Gen against the CPU.

-UCLA’s only touchdown in the 1st half came on a kickoff return. They never even got close enough to attempt a field goal. Too many turnovers.

-I put the scrubs in the 2nd half and experimented with a lot of plays I don’t normally run. I ended up winning the game 56-21. Sloppy 2nd half that saw more 2 more INT’s and 1 more fumble from UCLA. Their QB finished 12-35 with around 130/140 yards. I didn’t turn the ball over at all. Strangely, both UCLA and I only had one player injured throughout the course of the entire game.

-All of UCLA’s picks generally felt like they were from bad throws from the QB. I also saw some throws where he completely missed his receiver, either going long over their head or leading them way too far to the inside or outside.

-Finished the game with only 1 sack. UCLA had 3.

-The over-the-shoulder catch can look so sweet when it’s coupled with the right pass.

-I know a lot of people don’t like it, but the new camera is growing on me.

-The booth replays/challenges just need to be done away with. They don’t work. At all.

-I still feel like there is a delay in the time that I hit the swat or pick button and when my player reacts to it.

-When trying to block FG’s/EP’s I think I noticed a new animation if you get a running start then jump and attempt to block the kick up the middle. Hasn’t helped me block one yet though.

-I can’t stand the sluggish menus. This is the only part I really dislike about the game.

So there you go. Some random thoughts from two entirely different games. One game I couldn’t do anything right on offense, the next I dominated through the air and on the ground. Strangely, the CPU was the exact opposite. Take it for what you will. Regardless of what anybody says though, I’m still digging this game.

My first game was a shootout too and I was worried. Next game I won 13-10. Every game is different this year. Play about 10 games and look back on your experience, then you can give a semi-accurate impression.

You can play the CPU games, so you should be able to watch them.

There is a lot of variables here:

I also play on Heisman and all my games for the most part are low scoring.

In Heisman you must follow some guidelines

No hit sticking since that will make you miss a ton of tackles and ball carriers always break those tackles or leap over defenders

I set my gameplan to sure tackle and that helps stop ball carriers

You can also raise your tackle slider a bit..

The Pass rush is 50-50 right now. I get good pressure at times and other times not so much.

But using the aggresive jump snap feature is key and also running more crashes and stunts with the d-line

The only team to go over 30 points on me was the Gators..

Most teams I play against have a hard time scoring a lot because I have my gameplan set up right and play smart and not get to aggresive with the hit stick or strip button

I hate to be that guy, but I asked in another thread and I msut be the smelly kid because no one answered.

For the rosters, do you need XBOX Live Gold or will a silver account work?

Keep the impressions coming.

How much better are the pursuit angles?
Any psychic DB's or super human LB's?
