That's a rare cheeser indeed who uses a non-scrambling QB. With that being said, I do prefer a scrambling QB as it does open up a lot of options in the rushing game and the option.

I found that a good way to stop that qb sprint on pass plays is to use a 3-3-5 D and either spy the 2 inside db's or blitz them and have the nt spy or hook zone. Another thing is to set it for conservative in game plan the one that is for the zone d to go after a scrambling qb or stay put.

FYI, i do use the ducks online since they are my dynasty team, and i like to try different things with them. But i do hate cheesing.
If youre up for a game let me know on ps3

You mean DT's? I'll try the 335, but I don't like having 3 LBs on the field against 4/5 WR sets...

Also, spying the QB does nothing. This dude was using Arkansas, and he would just drop back about 17 yards until his receiver got open. He wasn't scrambling around. Scramblers are very easy to stop by containing the DEs and spying with the DTs.

Re: 5 Straight opponents who played with Oregon

1) Play qtr defense with 2 deep man coverage with the MLB as a QB spy.
2) Once you select the qtr defense flick the right stick until you have the LB Pass Rush alignment.
3) From your Gameplan select QB Contain to Aggressive.
4) I either take control of one of the two deep safeties or one of the DE's, drop initially back in covg to defend quick slants over the middle, then once thats been taken care of go after the QB.

That should help a little bit for a scrambling QB

What about a QB who just backs up 20 yards but still reads the zone? He can tear it apart if given enough time.... and he is given the time.

I said play 2 deep MAN coverage. zones are way too easy to throw against in this game and man coverage is pretty good. Make him beat your man coverage with that 20 yard dropback garbage. Make sure you have the slot receivers covered tight because they can be found on slant routes early in the play. Also put your fastest LBs as the starters at LOLB and ROLB because those 2 players will be the DE's in the LB Pass Rush Package.

My bad. I meant the two db's that would be lined up vs the slot wr's. If he rolls the qb out to run with him then spy them, if he drops back 15-20yds then blitz em.
