No. I wouldn't want to wait.

UNLESS they add in a playoff for next season via FREE DLC. Then yes.

I typically buy every other year anyway, so no problem here

I'm not entirely convinced that there would be a different amount of progress in the game when comparing the same two year periods between a yearly release and a bi-yearly release. With that, I'd rather have the option to get the features they worked on this year or wait for next years features.

No I would not be willing to wait 2 years. I need a fresh experience every season.

Ask anyone who has worked in a newspaper environment or similar, people make their deadlines (more or less) and if you give them more time, they'll do something else with that time. You get the same thing either way.

Re: Would you Bewilling to wait 2 years for a new game?

Absolutely, because there are going to be people updating the rosters. The gameplay won't be significantly fixed before the next gen, so there's no real reason to continue to buy the game except for false hope.

Years don't matter. I'll wait until I see enough progress and good AI to warrant a purchase.

Random factoid. That phenomena actually has a name. It's known as Parkinson's Law.
