Re: Armor & Sword's CFB 25 Custom Dynasty Mode Sliders

I've been playing a little more in my Dynasty. Since swapping to the the UTD Average Joe sliders my secondary is getting shredded deep. Some of it was an issue before this set though as New Mexico's secondary is not good.

The majority of the penalties I see are holding calls. They seem to happen to me earlier in the game too for some reason and will come in bunches. They are mostly triggered on running plays to the boundaries or QB runs so that makes sense. I like that DPI will get called with this set.

Here's an example of DPI being called which I don't see on default. :

I can't decide if I need to try to tweak the secondary sliders a bit or just continue on and see how things progress as I improve my secondary. The last two games I have played were absolute shootouts.

64-61 W vs Washington State
53-49 W @ Hawaii

If I play within the spirit of the game and don't abuse plays or mechanics then it's a pretty balanced set. I would like to test it with a better secondary to see how it's working for me overall but it's made the last few weeks of my Dynasty a lot more interesting. I definitely started giving up a lot more points when after the swap. I just get a few too many busted coverages for my liking so it may need some refinement. There's no one size fits all for everyone and I get that so no complaints, just thanks.

I play New Mexico as well and have pretty much the same experiences. The secondary definitely started to improve in year 3, and I am starting to beat up on some of the weaker conf. teams, but it took a while. Getting some 4-stars for year 5. (Moved from AA to Average Joe Varsity in year 4.)

There was a 12-mph wind blowing to the upper left in the meter and it def affected the kicks and both sailed wide of the goal posts. Ended up coming down to the second round of 2-point conversions and I won on a slant for the score.

Very tense game and I had a blast. Things felt very real for sure!
Which slider set are you using?

I tried these with one change last night. I put the QB Auto sub to 100/0 (in/out) and the QB plays much smarter. The only problem? They played TOO smart. Milroe was 25 of 25 and damn near 400 yards a 4 td against my stout D. Lol.

I think I need to up tackle slider. I played against Kentucky and they broke probably 5 tackles per play.
That and all of the animations are just really wonky. Feels like the game is playing too fast for me.

400+ hours in with this game, man, it has been fun. 300+ of those on slightly adjusted AJVarsity setup. Yes, does the game have some things I wish worked better ( looking at you tap tap, or longterm injuries if you play every game), but variety of games is there and fun. Shootouts, one sided games, big plays, penalties(but way less than we use to get), defensive battles. Man I have seen it all.

Thank you, Armor, for this fantastic base to work off of. I tried some AA and Heisman sets, but either CPU OP no matter who you play, or I dare to say AA seems easier than this varsity set.

How’s the QB Auto sub switch going? How many games have you played since switching QB Auto sub to 100/0 [in/out]?
