Yeah, I guess I'm on this lousy island all by me self. I use man coverage. My dbs are rated n the low 90s. They can't cover when the wr makes a cut. I thought it was faulty AI, but lemme know how to get better coverage via sliders. I'm gettn great pass rush, and still I get carved up

Re: What is your pass defense ranking???

My pass D sucks. I'm always #1 in rush D by far (thanks in part to sacks). But the pass D is turrable.

1) at the goalline, the CPU just has to run curl routes. My 90+ rated CBs always continue drifting back to the end line of the end zone, as if the WR is going to blow past them into the stands. Easy TD for the CPU every time.
2) corner routes - safeties sprint AWAY from the guy theyre covering (in man coverage), go to the middle of the field DURING THE PLAY, and then get around to covering the guy, who is 30 yds away making the catch. It's so broken.
3) I'll say it like I do every year: when the CPU decides its going to score, then it's going to score. DBs that won't jump, no matter how early or often I tap Y. WRs literally breaking 8 tackles after a catch. It's garbage and sad.

1) Press coverage smothers curls (but is vulnerable to streaks, but who cares about streaks in the red zone?).

2) As I said in the other thread, your DBs sprinting to the middle of the field during the play isn't normal and there's something glitching going on with your playbook/plays/hot routes/sliders/SOMETHING. You need to hit practice mode or play now and try to figure out why that's happening because I've never seen it.

3) Since they implemented ball hawk I don't think tapping Y to user catch works any more. I use ball hawk (hold down Y and don't let go) and it works very nicely. Most of my pick (and all of my user picks) are from ball hawk.

Re: What is your pass defense ranking???

3rd year in offline with SDSU. Fielding a Top-3 Defense. 1st against run, 2nd in points allowed, 2nd against pass (there was a 4th category but I don't remember off-hand what it is). It helps that I have a good secondary, which allows me to be a mad blitzer.

I know, call me crazy...

I forgot, AA with the only adjustment being threshold at 0.

Re: What is your pass defense ranking???

play on AA difficulty and the pass d in this game cant react enough. i am 3rd in run def 5th in points allowed and 86th in pass def with my cal team full of ballhawks. the ai with the constant hurry up just shreds my corners

Re: What is your pass defense ranking???

I find that lowering DPI/OPI to 0 tightens up coverage by making both sides of the ball play more aggressive.
