Re: My first All-Manual settings vid.

Okay, I'm in the game to win it now! LOL! Got my Hauppage and videocard all hooked up and running. The vid rig is an HP 9357c with 8 gig of PC6400DDR2 and a Phenom 9550 with the Sapphire HD4670 512 DDR3 and the Hauppage for capture. I'm gonna do one more vid with Hava footage and then it's on to the real HD stuff. The Hava is on it's way to a new home in Illinois right outside of St. Louis.... Man October can't get here fast enough! Let's Fifa10!

I don't get how you guys can do it. I switched everything to all-manual last week, and I'm so ****ing frustrated right now. Nothing I try to do does what I'm wanting it to do. Ahhhhh.

Yep - the switch to all-manual is not [ NOT! ] easy.

Lots of people told me to go play at amateur ... and I was stubborn. I finally listened, moved down three pegs, and started to figure things out. I have worked my way back up to professional ... and I am getting a lot of 2-1 / 1-0 / 2-2 / 0-0 close games.

And when I score - it is totally worth it.

(And, yes, I still get blanked in about 1/4 of my games.)

Your not alone. Sooo frustrating. Don't know why, but I always come back to the game. Scoring and winning is just so gratifying

I'll have to try all-manual again. I tried it once and it was a train wreck but I like the idea of lowering the AI difficulty to amateur and trying it again.

Any tips for crossing manual here? The ball either goes over the goal or behind everyone, frustrating!

First, slow the ball down. Then get your self as square to the goal as possible. It's when you're at those diagonal runs on goal that you have the funky everywhere but where you want it to be passes. Part of the 8-direction junk that hopefully '10 will get rid of.

When squaring my player I find that he will use his off foot to cross at times and the accuracy is way off. Is it best to cross from a standstill or moving with a little momentum?

Also, I thought Fifa '10 is 360 player movment now not 8 direction mess, no?
