Re: Manual Fifa

Do you go online and play randoms with your settings all manual? If so, how do you fare? I've tried a few twenty minute half games on all manual with friends and the goals are much more gratifying. Even the routine tap ins and rebounds feel great. I just don't know how well I'd do vs someone on all assisted.

Unless you're very, very good, you're gonna find playing manual against an online opponent who's assisted on everything to be very frustrating. I don't like playing online matches in general because he hate the pressing and ping-pong passes, and doing it while on manual ruined the game experience for me. I wish I had friends who did all manual.

Even the CPU plays different when playing on all Manual.

Strange but very true. More missed passes by the CPU when the settings are ALL Manual.

I have everything set to AM except shooting at Semi. As the player runs have improved over the last three games including WC2010, the learning curve on AM has decreased.

Re: Manual Fifa

I've been considering making the switch since FIFA 10 because I'm finding Legendary too easy the past couple of years. I toyed with it in the World Cup game but it was a foreign feeling because I've been playing the normal way for so long.

What would you recommend for half length and CPU skill level for all manual? Also, I like to use custom tactics from The Realistic Tactics Project. How does customized tactics affect gameplay while using all manual controls?

I don't notice any changes as to the way the CPU attacks/defends being on AM.

As far as half length that would depend on your style of play. I pass back a lot, build up, and change tactics throughout a game. I can play 10 or 15 minute halves and get a realistic amount of shots and a fair amount fouls. This is using default tactics too.

Re: Manual Fifa

I really like playing all-manual, but I've noticed something playing both FIFA10 & World Cup on both consoles... manual pass power seems to be more responsive on the 360. IE, I feel it takes less time to make a harder pass on the 360. I've only played the demo on PS3 and I still have the feeling that I can't get a good pass in a reasonable amount of time. I'm going to try the demo on 360 tonight to see if I notice a difference or to confirm that I am, in fact, off my rocker.

i just started playing on manual controls what i have noticed is that there is no umh in the passes when powered up and also i think its because of the hounding of the cpu defenders u tend to rush which leads to u not powering up enough... i think its a combination of both. The fifa 11 demo is great i just hope they can space the midfield a bit more in the final or via patch and also real back the defensive pressure
