i wish they would tell us exactly how progression works. your sim doesnt look bad though, but makes me wonder why some players progressed decently and others did not.

Yeah, the progression is much better than FIFA 12 post-patch, but it concerns me. If it turns out it's *too good* we may see a repeat of last year.

From EA Headquarters: "The players are actually progressing and the Youth Academy is useful again. For the next patch, break it. Break it good."

I was able to get the season ticket early access and am about 10 games in with Villareal. A couple young guys are already +3 while an old guy is -3. The guys progressing the most have gotten the most PT. it's not automatic though, I signed Wellington Nem from Fluminese and he's been averaging +7 rating each game in a #10 role but he hasn't progressed at all yet.

The youth academy seems the same, prices for top tier scouts are less. I got a 5* each scout for a little over 10 mil. The guys coming in seem to be similar to last year in ability and potential. Haven't been able to deduce yet if they will be able to play multiple positions or if anyone will start as specific positions like cam or cf.

This is one thing I hate about Career Mode.

Didn't see the option, but might have missed it.

I did notice that Arsenal's goal was more realistic for season one - "Qualify for Champions Cup" - so it's possible that they toned requirements somewhat.

Can someone sign a few youth squad members and see what their progression is? Might take a year or 2 of simming. Appreciate it.

Very small sample size from me. I have a test CM running with Arsenal. I hired the most expensive manager and signed a couple of prospects. I purposefully signed and played one 16 year old CB all season. He came in at a 55 with a potential listed from 72-90. By the start of the next season his OVR was 68. Like I said, small sample size, but I find it encouraging.
