Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

Updated the first post with the 5/6 minute period sliders.

I personally play with 6 minute periods.

My last 5 games, all Pens vs Caps

Game 1: Pens win 2-1 OT
Game 2: Pens win 4-3
Game 3: Caps win 5-1
Game 4: Caps win 3-2 OT
Game 5: Caps win 5-3 (empty net goal at end)

Shots ranged between 51 to 58 per game combined.

Power Plays, between 3-7 per game combined. Seemed like whoever won had 4 PP's and other team had 2/3.

Game Speed, thanks to Cycloniac, I used game speed 6 for the last 4 games today. Was using 3 prior. I think I will end up settling on 4 or 5. Having less time to react keeps you on your toes. Feels like Madden, play on slow or very slow, games get easy, play on Normal or Fast and games become tough, less time to read and react.

Made an adjustment to the 5/6 min set up, went from full sim to simulation (preset 3), then added my sliders. The game flowed much better with the shorter periods and my sliders. I'll update the first post later this even or early tomorrow for those interested.

Will these work for 10 minute periods? I'm hoping that the cpu teams get 15-30 hits per game.

First set, yes, bottom set no.

I will update the 5/6 min set (again) today. For those interested.

I disregarded this, the looseness after so many games coming from the preset 3 drove me nuts after so long. Unreal what a difference skating is between the preset 3 and preset 4.

Updated 6 min sliders and 8/10 min sliders in the 1st post.

You could use speed 4 if you want on the 6 minute set.

Check the goalie sliders in the 6 min set.. (adjust to your liking). I made the change because every right handed shot i went far side top shelf, just like online. No matter what. This change allowed more shots, less goals, less glitch top cheese goals, and allowed more of a north/south game because of the shorter periods.

I'm settling in with these, maybe a tweak or two, and when the opening night roster drops starting a franchise.

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

Hey Fiddy, love these sliders! I am having a blast with these. One question i have for you is why the big difference in these settings between the 8/10 min and 5/6 min settings.

Goalie Cross Crease Reaction Time –
Goalie Save Reaction Time –
Goalie Deflection Reaction Time –

I play am playing with 7 mins currently, but will probably go to 8 mins.

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

yeah thanks for the sliders Fiddy

I played about 4 games with your 6 minute set over the weekend. I like the shorter time to get a lot of games in quicker.. the only negative to playing with the shorter time for me is the power plays go to quick for my liking to where I feel I can never get a good advantage with it. SO I might switch and try your 8 minute for best experience

The gameplay felt good but I couldn't win a game. lol The computer seems toughest to me on your set vs the other ones I have tried I think. I like your slider set because I feel like it's a good mix for when I play online.. what I mean by that as it's not drastically different as far as one extreme vs the other and I don't need to change to much the way I play really.

I do have a question for you that might be slightly off topic.. but do you use that same exact pass aim assist setting 37 for when you play online as well? if not what would do you use?
