Pass assist being where it is has to do with ice friction. Needs to be between 30 and 33.

How on earth do you play these sliders on superstar? I win nearly every game on all-star and play a good game on superstar too except the CPU scoring is just ridiculous. They just skate to the zone and shoot the puck to the upper front corner and all of them go in. Same thing on point shots. It's just awful. Few of them come from bad defense yes, but most not. I like the sliders but this is a major problem.

Wanted to tell you that this find of combining full sim and competition has made this really good. I have worked with northman, mickeymahem, and cycloniac and each guys had found some good stuff. I am still adjusting certain ones to see which ones make the feel like ice and keep gameplay hard but realistic (in terms of cpu mercy mode stuff). We have used some of your new in-betweens and some of mine and things cycloniac has and these are getting really good. Still have more sample to do. Excellent find. Made this as good as its ever been/previous yrs. People just have to fine tune it to their liking.

Then make adjustments and stay on all star with them.

I have rough ones on superstar for sure, but it keeps the game fresh for me.

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

I tried pass assist at 30-33 but all I notice is that the computer decides where my passes are going, so I dropped it back down again.

Try setting your passing sliders min lower and pass speed higher. I found I get more variety in passes and puck travel.

Also, if you want more skating friction, lower the acceleration and up the speed. Get more separation and they feel like they have to push to get going.

Take a look at my settings for an idea of what I am talking about.

I thought same when on 33. On 30 passing was much better (then 33).

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

Ok, I'm back at my franchise mode and ready to roll through the rest of the season.

I played a few games with my current set up, but something was off a bit. Probably due to the updates since I last played offline. I really couldn't put my finger on what was wrong or what felt off.

I was reading that some guys have tried the Competitive (3) Sliders again. So I went that route, even though I have done that already. Changed to Competitive and made all my changes and wow, good stuff. Game flowed really well for me, seen some pucks beat goalies that I hadn't before, pucks getting passed the goalies after getting a piece, but trickled wide etc. Good stuff!

I'll be sticking with this for a while and see how it goes long term.

Fiddy what sliders are you using now? are you just changing the game style to competitive (3/4) and then entering your sliders?
