Goalie Cross Crease Reaction Time –
Goalie Save Reaction Time –
Goalie Deflection Reaction Time –

I play am playing with 7 mins currently, but will probably go to 8 mins.
Difference in those, cross crease, passing a tad lower on 8 min periods, so having the goalie slide across a bit slower opens up some tap in chances, combined with the low one timer acc..

Save reaction being higher on shorter periods, that came from any shot from the top of the right faceoff circle going top shelf with every right handed shooter for me. Just an glitch goal of sorts. It was either auto aim or jack up the save reaction. I tried save reaction first and it seemed to take away the top shelf goals, most noticeable from the right hand guys far side top shelf. Plus, with the shot acc higher, it allowed for more shots on the goalie and less goals.

Goalie deflection i just raised per the above being raised. Trying to have less goals and finding that happy medium. Maybe down the line I will adjust both back down a bit and turn on auto aim. Hmm..

My franchise is going well with these also and just wanted to give a thanks to you.

so Thanks for all you hard work.
No problem and honestly it didn't take me long to figure these out. Playing around with the scale that I do allows me to find happy mediums quicker, even though some tougher to find than others.

I played about 4 games with your 6 minute set over the weekend. I like the shorter time to get a lot of games in quicker.. the only negative to playing with the shorter time for me is the power plays go to quick for my liking to where I feel I can never get a good advantage with it. SO I might switch and try your 8 minute for best experience

The gameplay felt good but I couldn't win a game. lol The computer seems toughest to me on your set vs the other ones I have tried I think. I like your slider set because I feel like it's a good mix for when I play online.. what I mean by that as it's not drastically different as far as one extreme vs the other and I don't need to change to much the way I play really.

I do have a question for you that might be slightly off topic.. but do you use that same exact pass aim assist setting 37 for when you play online as well? if not what would do you use?
I adjust with an online mindset at times, mostly when it comes to the skating. I want to be able to go back and forth and not feel much difference skating wise.

I use the default 100 online, sometimes I will play some games with it at 50 or 75. End up back at 100 though.

yeah.. this is what I noticed about your sliders and why I will probably stick with yours overtime because I like that since I play a lot of online. it's an easier transition for me and also gives me practice at the same time.

Thanks for the response. I was using 37 online last night and didn't do to bad with it. now I make the difficult passes but sometimes miss the easy ones. lol I think I will bump it back up to around 75 though. my problem with 100 is it's to assisted for me and goes to the wrong player to many times for my liking. I will probably settle with somewhere around 37 - 75 for online

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

So, I've started my first ever NHL Franchise with these sliders. (yes, I'm a noob at Hockey) Using the six minute version. Only change I made is I'm playing at Pro right now (until I get a little better, LOL!).

So far, I'm loving them. Games are close and competitive for me. The only "issue" I see is that CPU players never get penalties. I player lock, so neither my guys or the CPU guys get them. Not a big deal to me. But though I'd report it.

Thanks for the set!

Maybe try and boost the cpu penalties, playing on pro might be the issue with that.

So, I bumped the CPU up by 10 and I've seen one penalty now and three fights. Which is more than I saw before. Just two games so far with these settings. I may raise it another 5 and see what that does.

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

Finally got to actually start getting into the game a bit and I gotta say, great sliders Fiddy. This is definitely my favorite set out there. Only problems I have are that the AI picks up almost every loose puck and has yet to actually lose a board battle, which usually ends up costing me games. I think the AI also has gorilla glue on their stick blades. The Ducks just scored 4 times in the 2nd period of the home opener of my Dallas season, and every goal just felt like it was going to happen no matter what. I might as well just put the controller down once the AI has the puck in my zone and hope the goalie can freeze it. Not sure if all of this can be tweaked by the sliders or if it's just EA NHL being EA NHL. I sure hope it can be tweaked, because then I could probably call this the most fun I've had with video game hockey since 2005. Most likely it's the latter though.

Try lowering the CPU puck control, CPU pick up effect, and even CPU pass reception. Maybe this will help you out a bit.

Keep in mind, some things would be adjusted different, but since we are playing just 6 min periods have to try and keep it so the CPU can compete.

Pick up effect utilizes the rating of the player to pick up the puck. Better players pick up puck easier, adjusting this may help you out.

Re: Fiddy's NHL 17 Sliders

I had to make some tweaks, but I really love your sliders, Fiddy! I have to correct: loved them. Since I downloaded the new patch and roster update, this game doesn't play the same as before. I started a new franchise, same team, same sliders, but it plays completely different. I'm 1-9-1 now, getting dominated ny the CPU in almost every game. I scored more than one goal in only two games. It's kinda frustrating, because before games were always great fun. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm using the 5 minute sliders, btw.
