Your biggest annoyances with EA UFC 2?

    1. Lag. Even when I have a smooth connection it seems like nearly any of my transition denials work even when I time them perfectly even with equal or better stamina. Same for takedowns. And this is when the connection is good, when it's bad the game is almost unplayable.

    2. Clinch and ground damage compared to stand up. I hardly even try to clinch or grapple, so I understand I'm bad in these positions, but it makes zero sense to land so many hard unblocked shots standing to be put away by 2 or 3 ground or clinch shots. Very unbalanced.

    3. Frozen in place from weak strikes. Why do weak leg kicks glue you to the floor? I had a fight earlier where I was the aggressor and my opponent just retreated and threw jab then leg kicks sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row and for some reason I'm just stuck in place, my only option is to time my low high blocks until my feet are unglued from the floor.

    4. Head movement. Well I guess there are too many inputs to expect everything, but this game's head movement seems so far behind the Fight Night series it's ridiculous. You can't pull back counter straight seamlessly because you have to wait until your body is back to center and stationary.

That's my biggest gripes with the game, hopefully these will be addressed for the next game.

Exactly. You would never be able to perform this drill in EA UFC 2:

The biggest annoyance for me would be a simple 3 letter reply.

      Lag.

AI. Push/front kicks not drawing a hit reaction which makes them useless. Lag making the ground unplayable at times. Creating an African American caf and having ppl.go on the mic and say mean racist things to me thinking I'm African American.

Re: Your biggest annoyances with EA UFC 2?

Just had a fight against an Aldo, I was using Edgar. He landed one knee in MT clinch to knock me down in the last round while I had next to zero head damage. The difference in damage between stand up and clinch/ground has to be the most unbalanced aspect in a combat game I've ever seen lol. If they can't make the stand up striking do more damage, at least they could tone down the clinch/ground damage. That alone would make this game much more enjoyable for me.

Re: Your biggest annoyances with EA UFC 2?

Stand up striking is by far the hardest way to finish a fight

            Clinch

No weak block, the blocking is op as all get.

The new penalties for spinning strikes and what not doesn't effect the champs that much. Lots of fighters don't have the option of a standard roundhouse. This stamina penalties really effect mid tier fighters I like to use. Most people use champs that can still spin and spin.

            Repeated Supermans chained together.

            The lunge backwards

The high level transitions nearly everyone has, including Tyson. With lag it's crazy easy for opponent to get from a bad submissive position to a awesome dominant position with one transition

Bruce Lee, the highest rated striker in BW. Crazy stupid. These dumb fake mma fighters are way OP. The fact they are usable in ranked is a slap in the face to the real fighters

at least they made them one dimensional, tyson you just have to avoid the body spam straight combos, he doesnt have a takedown and ground game isnt the best. Bruce lee is full of spinning moves so fight smart against him and let him burn his stamina.

Hate to burst your bubble but you can pull of a 2 peice with Bruce Lee and be so affective and win.

Bruce Lee in the hands of good fighter is so OP and has the 2 cheapest moves you can get in the game for strikes and kicks. ughhhhhh.

                  1. I don't have much laggy matches but I agree the connection is worse than ea ufc 1.

2.Agree. The strikes in the stand up are very underpowerd compared to clinch, gnp its unbalanced. They need to buff single strike power.

                  3. Agree. I think with frozen you mean the exagerrated hit stuns that gives your opponent a free strike after a combo ending with a leg kick or body kick? This is stupid. I want stopping power like the jab but not over exaggerated hit stuns where you don't have control over your fighter anymore because he is freezing after a leg kick or body kick.

                  4. Agree. The head movement where you can't counter properly. Slow and robotic.

I agree about front kicks being useless due to no hit reaction. If you throw a rear leg front kick you'll end up moving yourself so close to the other fighter during the animation that even if your kick lands, it won't be worth it, because they'll react to it as if it were a jab, and before you've even put your leg back down they've already hit you with 2 modified head punches.

Re: Your biggest annoyances with EA UFC 2?

                        1) SWAYS are unresponsible.
It takes too long and not stable to perform sways on reaction.

                        How to fix:
decrease dead zone - easy fix by patch!
                        http://www.operationsports.com/forum...2-how-fix.html

                        2) SWAY COUNTER is not fluid and take too long b/c body returns first to the central neutral position and only then begins a sway counter strike.
In UFC UD sway counter was launched from sway last position:
                        <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TJ-uertA4Ag" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>

                        Hot to fix:
launch a sway counter immediately in sways extreme slanted position, not after returning to initial position. Possible by patch

                        3) NO LONG FWD DASH (RUN):
We can not to chase groggy opponent and short reach fighters are in disadvantage.

                        How to fix:
L1+LS fwd = FWD long dash (which costs more stamina and causes stun if getting hit during it but allow to chase the opponent)
                        Possible by patch now!

                        4) LAGS of course:
                        How to fix:
It is possible by patch (like MKX did) but this will not be an easy patch so i hope for EA UFC 3 - we need another roll back based network code (like GGPO):

I am getting ready to jump on that train.

These MMA games are sooo far from what they should be.

The looping of the positions in the ground game gets annoying, not being able to get to mount or side control from guard is frustrating, also the stamina system doesn't make a lot of sense on top. The major sweeps from half guard bottom with opponent postured up have no visual cues to deny it. Also if I want to get up from the top position it should be instant, it ridiculous how long it takes and if I get held down the person on bottom should lose stamina for doing so.

some good gripes in this thread; hopefully they'll be taken as constructive criticism (in most areas at least haha)

lag does kill my soul so I'll pile-on there lol

I have a problem with the ability (or lack therof) to close distance in this game. It really seems to be nearly impossible to close distance except by throwing jabs and straights all day.

I'm not saying jabs and straights shouldn't be good at closing the distance --- but long story short, it's damn near impossible to chase someone down, and there's nothing that resembles a lunging hook or a true, legit 'finish the fight' sequence.

I also feel that it's way too hard to score a takedown from standing (clinch is fine it's the standign takedowns that are very underpowered IMO)
