I just finished the first episode and it's weird as ****...... so, I'll ALL IN.

Some shows you can start and be like "oh, I can kind of see where this is going" this is not one of those shows. I have no clue where this is heading and it's very intriguing.... about to start episode two now.

I hadn't even heard of this show until like 3 days ago. It's so great and rare these days to have a show that is thematically right in my wheelhouse just unexpectedly come out of nowhere.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I'm 4 in after reading about the show here.

It's such a trip.

I dont think I'm spoiling anything when I say how odd it was that the opening credits of the first episode didn't come until seemingly an hour or more into the show lol. I kinda forgot there was supposed to be an intro because I was so captivated. It was like a prologue instead heh.

I'll finish it before tonight, great so far.

Well damn, I might have to push this one up on the list. Was really looking forward to watching The Crown after finishing up S2 of Marco Polo.

Netflix is killing me with their great programming. Can we live forever yet?

Finished watching all 8 episodes of Stranger Things & really loved it. Can't wait for season 2. I now fully understand the term binging Netflix. Once you start there's no stopping.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

I'm 3 episdoes in on "The OA," and can't wait to continue watching more episodes tonight!

Finished "Stranger Things" great show, can't wait for season two.

Two episodes left on season 2 of "Narcos." Another great show if you don't mind subtitles.

To watch list: "Luke Cage"

Other shows watched:
Daredevil - seasons 1 and 2
Jessica Jones
House of Cards
The Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt (liked season one - stopped watching season 2)
Flaked
Master of None
BoJack Horseman
Black Mirror

We had to physically force ourselves to stop last Saturday. Finished Sunday night.

I've been obsessed with it since then, looking on YouTube, checking out any information, etc. It hit all the right spots. Perfect time & place for the type of show it is. Like if it was set present day, it wouldn't have been as... whatever vibe it gave me, I can't even put my finger on the right word. Maybe simpler? Kind of let the imagination roam. Obviously all the callbacks to 80s nostalgia helps too. I'm not even an 80s kid (missed it by a couple months!), but had a bunch of brothers who are so everything felt right. I played a little D&D in my time too so that was a cool way to tell a serious story in a game-y way.

Glad they're going ahead with a Season 2 and I can see this going for a good while if they follow the same timeline of a season = a year. Think the story can go in so many different directions. As much as I would've been completely satisfied with this being a one and done mini series, I'm soooo excited for it to be multiple seasons.

The OA was awful to me. Not something I would recommend but I assume I'll be in the minority.
