about the Crib mode in ESPN ?

I think it's absolutely stupid. This made me not wanna buy anymore Sega games, since they think showing off a house is more important than adding gameplay features...

I can see how a lot of people wouldn't care but its still a lot better than Madden cards which I also totally ignored. I may not even care about crib mode but it does sound kind of neat. Still better than Madden cards. I would have preferred in game saves over crib mode though, that I can guarantee.

The gameplay is key and from what I've read they've corrected everything that was a problem for me.

If you're talking about game modes, they've gone all out to offer a completely different mode: first person football.

The Crib is just a cool distraction between games - it's a nice way of rewarding a player for their hard work. Sure, the novelty will probably wear off... but even then, the Crib will make a nice background for when I'm viewing my stats!

If you were a 2K3 fan there'd be no way this would put you off buying ESPN.

If the crib mode makes you not want to buy ESPN Football 2004, then you weren't that big of a fan of Sega games to begin with. Crib mode is not for me either. But, I buy a football videogame to play videogame football. I could care less what other options are offered. As long as the gameplay is tight, I could't care less about that other stuff. Now that being said, if they haven't addressed some of the gameplay issues from NFL2K3, then I will agree with you as far as what they should have focused on. But until we have the game in our hands we won't know.
