Well, EA has never been that good at depicting player interaction on the field in regards to oline/dline interaction or wr/db play in terms of bump coverage and the jockeying for position when the ball is in the air...or head tracking for that matter. So I guess its no surprise none of that is really featured in the screens.

I prefer Sega's player models. EA has always used those short and stumpy, squat player models. As for the colors, yeah, EA has the edge.

Has anybody else noticed about the Madden Screens that they Rarely if ever show more than two players interacting in the foreground? I swear it seems most of the Madden screens feature just 2 players (with sky in the background of course) while there are many ESPN screens that feature 3 or more players interacting. I wonder why that is.

Anyway, as for espn's graphics....after watching this...

and this...

I couldn't give a hot damn about the graphics in screenshots

Its time to see some gameplay vids.

Are those for us to use? I wanna help promote the game with that in my avator on other sites.

I think Madden only has two people in the shot because they are trying to show off the detail now

anybody else have thoughts on why only 2 players in most of the Madden Screens?

Like you said, EA has always had terrible OL/DL interaction. Come to think of it, I wonder what a picture like that would look like in Madden. Anyone got one?

The edge in color (and even lighting) does go to Madden, IMO, but hopefully that will change this year. The difference in lighting was always made up by the fact that Madden's graphics have always looked more like a cartoon, to me. I just hope that VC really has smoothened out the "change direction" animation this year. If they did, the game should be killer.

I prefer Segas too because of size and polygons but if they get the right colors for the helmets and jerseys with some better player scaling i doubt anybody would buy Madden over it.

I like Madden's graphics but both player models suck. Madden always feels like your playing with midgets and ESPN feels like your playing with lengthy stoops! My one complaint from ESPN's graphics / scaling is that none of the facemasks seem to be right. Some of them dip down to much and some of them are to skinny looking. Then again, from other angles they look great. But I think overall the graphical advantage has to lay in the hands of Madden.
