Yeah, thanks. I intended to sim the playoffs but I decided to play the Steelers cause I really don't like them, then its the same deal with the Pats. I really didn't think I was gonna overcome that Steelers 20-6 deficit though. The whole team stepped up there.

Jaguars sign Vick, 3 others in Free Agency

Jacksonville, FL-- The Jaguars were relatively quiet in Free Agency, signing only 4 players. However, the 4 players they have signed, while being far from superstars, have made a few head lines. First, the Jags agreed to a 1 year $1.7M deal with QB Michael Vick, the former 1st overall pick by the Falcons, who played for the Eagles last year after being suspended for the 2007 and 2008 seasons while in jail on federal dog fighting charges. Next, the Jags agreed to a 5 year deal worth around $12M with former Heisman winning QB Troy Smith. 2 days later, they received a call from both TE Tom Santi and C Kyle Cook, who both signed on for 3 years, with a total worth of around $6M.

The signings of both Vick and Smith come as a huge surprise to Jags fans, as David Garrard just won them a Super Bowl. There may just be a QB controversy brewing in Jacksonville. BREAKING NEWS: sources have told us this morning that the Jags restructured Garrard's contract, taking away the next 4 years, awarding Garrard with a 1-year deal worth the $30.79M that Garrard still has on his contract. This can't be a good sign for Garrard, who has never been spoken highly of by owner Jay Randolph.

Other notable Free Agent signings include:

WRs Hines Ward and Davonne Bess- Baltimore Ravens
MLB Kurt Morrison- Re-signs with Oakland Raiders
QB Jason Campbell- Carolina Panthers
SS Bernard Pollard- Washington Redskins
ROLBs Cameron Wake ang Geno Hayes- St. Louis Rams

2010 NFL Draft Recap

New York, NY-- The NFL Draft ended just minutes ago here in New York, and the Jaguars stuck to their word, predominantly drafting players to boost their defense and running game.

1st Round- FS Darius Gates (B Pot)- Gates is a rangy safety who is great in pass coverage. Not a big hitter, but a solid tackler nonetheless.

2nd Round- TE Konrad Jones (A pot)- Jones is a guy who is a strong run-blocker with soft hands. However, he does not run very polished routes, and is not very fast.

3rd Round- QB John Scotland (B Pot)- Scotland is a strong-armed QB who throws the deep ball very well. His accuracy down the field is off the charts. However, he struggles with his decision making and touch on short passes. He could be ready to play now, but most likely needs a year or 2 to develop.

4th Round- TE Cameron Hammond (A Pot)- Hammond is very similar to Jones, but is much faster, while not having quite as soft of hands. These 2 players are expected to improve the Jags running game quite a bit, as the stretch play hasn't been there due to poor TE blocking.

5th Round- FS Nico Jackson (B Pot)- Jackson is a guy that Jack Del Rio says will make the move to Strong Safety to back up Gerald Alexander, who was instrumental in the Jag's Super Bowl run with 4 interceptions.

6th Round- RT Khris McVey (A Pot)- McVey is a strong run blocker who struggles at time in pass protection. However, he shifts defensive ends out of running lanes with ease, and can also block down field well.

7th Round- WR Taylor Craft (A Pot)- Craft is a relative unknown, after playing at D-II Abeline Christian in college. He has shown great route-running and solid hands over the years. He reminds scouts of Colts WR Austin Collie.

Breaking News: Garrard traded away

Jacksonville, FL-- Just months after leading the team to its first Super Bowl win, David Garrard has been traded to the NY Jets. The Jets traded away former 6th overall pick ROLB Vernon Gholston, who projects as a defensive end in the Jaguars 4-3 defense. The Jaguars also received DT Landon Cohen, who will back up John Henderson and Terrance Knighton.

Garrard threw for over 3,000 yards last season and 23 touchdowns with only 12 interceptions. He also threw 8 touchdowns with 4 interceptions over the Jag's 4 playoff games. "To tell you the truth, this is not a surprise. I expected something like this, which is why I agreed to restructure my contract. I thought it would buy me another year, but I guess Mr. Randolph had other plans," Garrard said in a press conference.

The candidates to replace Garrard are Rookie John Scotland from Oklahoma or newly signed Free Agents Troy Smith from the Ravens and Michael Vick from the Eagles. As of now, Scotland is perched atop the depth chart, however, as coach Jack Del Rio says, "Its up for grabs right now. The pre-season will be huge for us. The title of starter is pretty meaningless right now. All 3 guys will play this pre-season and battle it out to win the job."

Vick named starter after Preseason

Jacksonville, FL-- After an up-and-down preseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars have emerged 4-0. Rookie John Scotland battled it out with veterans Troy Smith and Michael Vick, but did not succeed, as Jack Del Rio announced today in press conference with Vick and Tony Dungy, Vick's mentor, on hand to answer questions.

Scotland had the best statistics of the 3, throwing for over 300 yards with 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, while Vick threw for over 400 with 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Smith had been out of the race for a while after some wildly inaccurate throws in the early games, culminating with Smith not playing a snap in the final preseason game.

Scotland played the first half against Cincinnati, but after struggling, was replaced by Vick, who threw for 214 yards and 2 touchdowns to Rookie Konrad Jones, and ran 3 times for an additional 25 yards, leading the Jags to a 31-14 win. "Mike may not have John's deep ball, but he can throw pretty well deep and his running ability gives another dimension to our offense," said Del Rio in the press conference.

Scotland looked like the clear-cut starter going into the 3rd week of the preseason, as he had been the one who simply struggled the least. He played awful in the first half, throwing 2 interceptions to Jags castoff Sean Considine, and another pick to Kelvin Hayden.

He was benched at the half, but got his chance when Smith struggled and Vick went down with an injury. He led the team roaring back from a 17-24 deficit, throwing a touchdown to fellow Rookie Taylor Craft, then fed the ball to Shagg Makino in overtime, allowing Makino to lead the team into field goal range, where Josh Scobee kicked a 34-yard field goal to win it. The final drive gave Scotland another week to prove himself, but he played poorly against a the Bengals, who were easily exploited by Vick.
