Duke finished second in the ACC Coastal division and 5th in the ACC conference. Duke is a passing team that tries to set up the run, 18th in passing yards. They're led by JR QB Sean Schroeder who passed for 2826 yards. Problem with him is touchdown to interception ratio is 1:1, throwing for 13 TD and ints. SR HB Desmond Scott is a threat running and catching the ball. Connor Vernon is the primary target for Schroeder, Vernon caught 63 passes for 1128 yards and 6 TD. On defense, CB Ross Cockrell and DE Justin Foxx is the best players. Cockrell intercepted 4 passes this year. Colorado finished 3rd in the Pac-12 South and 5th in the pac-12 conference. After starting the season 3-5, this young team went on a roll winning 4 straight games to become bowl eligible and finish the season on a good direction. QB Connor Wood does not have many weapons around him, but he does have a stud WR in Paul Richardson. Richardson caught 54 passes, and 14 of those catches went for a touchdown. Tony Jones will return from an injury for this game so there will be a 2 man running game with Jones and Josh Ford. Each player ran for just a little more than 700 yards. This is an interesting ACC/Pac-12 match in the sun bowl.

Winning Streak at 5

In the Sun Bowl, the Colorado Buffaloes knocked off #24 Duke Blue Devils 27-10 where all the scoring game during the first half. Colorado jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter, with Darragh O'Neill field goal and a 17 yard run by Connor Wood for a touch down. With 11 seconds left, Duke QB Sean Schroeder ran it in for a TD to cut the lead into 3.

Second quarter was all Colorado as they outscored Duke 17-3. Touchdown catches from Paul Richardson and Tyler McCulloch was all the Buffs need as their defense, who has struggled all year, came up big in the game.

Colorado ends the year on a 5 game winning streak, they hope this late run springs them into 2013 with high expectations. This team has only 6 seniors on the team, and only 1 on offense.
