Re: Buccaneers Dynasty (Madden 13 Offline CCM)

Redskins (2-1) @ Buccaneers (2-1)
Week 4

The Buccaneers are hoping to continue their rampage through the NFC East after beating both the Giants and the Cowboys in the last two weeks. The Redskins have other ideas.

The Redskins look good but eventually come up short on a third down and punt.

The Buccaneers try the air and it becomes readily apparent this game is going to be won on the ground. Tampa punts.

WAS 0 TB 0 in the 1st

QB Robert Griffin III shows off his moves as he scramble for a 22yd TD.

WAS 7 TB 0 in the 2nd

Rookie HB Doug Martin breaks a 43yd run, to get Tampa rolling. The drive is capped by an 11yd TD run by HB Doug Martin.

WAS 7 TB 7 in the 2nd

The Redskins add another score when QB Robert Griffin III hits WR Pierre Garcon for a 43yd TD

WAS 14 TB 7 in the 2nd

The Redskins defense won't allow the Buccaneers to do anything and after a questionable reversal of a third down conversion by the booth, Tampa has to punt.

With less than 20 seconds on the clock the Buccaneers run out the clock and go into the half with a 7pt lead.

WAS 14 TB 7 at the half

QB Josh Freeman and the Bucs score the only points of the 3rd when Freeman hits TE Kellen Winslow for a 3yd TD!

WAS 14 TB 14 going into the 4th

Big sacks by Dimeback Kelly Jennings and MLB David Harris force the Redskins to punt.

Tampa takes the first lead of the game when WR Terrell Owens catches a 16yd TD pass.

WAS 14 TB 21 in the 4th

QB Robert Griffin III slips out of a sack to make a crucial third down conversion to keep Washington moving. Griffin ties the game with a pass to his favorite target WR Pierre Garcon.

WAS 21 TB 21 with 36 seconds remaining.

QB Josh Freeman keeps hurrying the Buccaneers to the line. If he can get them close enough they can win this one. Freeman does just that when he hits WR Terrell Owens for a 31yd pass. The Bucs are in FG range with 8 seconds remaining. K Connor Barth goes out and misses the 24yd FG attempt. He pushes it to the right.

This one is going to overtime!

Washington wins the toss and chooses to receive.

The Redskins can't get much done of 1st and 2nd down, but always come up big on the third down conversions, until they don't. A sack by MLB David Harris forces the punt that gives the Buccaneers a chance.

Coach Joslin turns to the ground game and HB Doug Martin doesn't disappoint. Martin scrambles for first down after first down with QB Freeman converting the odd third down in the air. The Bucs get into FG range, but Coach Joslin has clearly lost faith in Barth, especially when he's being asked to hit a 55yd FG. So the Bucs go for it on 4th and 6. QB Freeman hits WR Mike Williams and he stays in bounds! First down in the redzone. HB Doug Martin does the rest when he takes it 13yds on a counter play to score!

Tampa Wins in Overtime!

WAS 21 TB 27 Final

Re: Buccaneers Dynasty (Madden 13 Offline CCM)

K Connor Barth Out, K Garrett Hartley In
After missing a critical FG in last weeks game vs. the Redskins, forcing the Buccaneers into overtime, the writing was on the wall.

His services would no longer be required.

The Buccaneers were already frustrated with Barth's refusal to rework his contract that had him making $3.3M, a salary number eclipsed by only 10 other players on the roster. Add to this, his limited and inconsistent performance (2/4 with a 47yd long; 11/11 XPts; no kickoffs) and he was so much deadweight.

Barth was cut shortly after the game. K Garrett Hartley formerly of the Saints was picked up to replace him.

Week 6
Chiefs (1-4) @ Buccaneers (3-1)

The Bucs are coming off a bye week and are looking to continue where they left off. The Chiefs on the other hand are in the midst of a three game losing streak and are hoping for a change in luck.

Both teams play stout defense in the first and no one can get on the board.

That changes in the beginning of the second quarter when Tampa QB Josh Freeman hits TE Kellen Winslow on a 21yd TD strike.

TB 7 KC 0 in the 2nd

Kansas City comes right back with a TD of their own. HB Jamaal Charles turns the corner and goes 76yds for the score.

TB 7 KC 7 in the 2nd

The Buccaneers march down the field with time running out. The Chiefs force a fourth and 2 at the 14yd line. Coach Joslin sends in his new kicker, Garrett Hartley in for the easy 3 and Hartley doesn't disappoint.

TB 10 KC 7 to end the half

The Bucs are moving in for another score, when HB Doug Martin fumbles the ball. The Chiefs recover.

Kansas City can't take advantage of their good luck though and have to punt.

The Chiefs get lucky again when FS Kyle McCarthy intercepts QB Josh Freeman. The Chiefs manage to turn this turnover into points. The Bucs hold Kansas City at the 31yd line. KC sends in their recently acquired K, Connor Barth to get some payback. Barth nails the 48yd FG!

TB 10 KC 10 in the 4th

With only 2:46 remaining in the game, all the Buccaneers have to do is hold onto the ball and get into FG range. Kansas City uses up their timeouts trying to preserve the clock, but Tampa keeps getting 1st after 1st. HB Doug Martin redeems himself with a 22yd TD run.

TB 17 KC 10 with 23 seconds left in the game

Sometimes their is such a thing as wanting it too much, that is where KC is and they are made to pay for it. DE Daquan Bowers and SS Devin McCourty sack KC QB Donovan McNabb to end the game.

TB 17 KC 10 Final

Statistics

TB QB Josh Freeman 10/17 for 166yds TD, INT
KC QB Donovan McNabb 3/9 for 44yds

TB HB Doug Martin 25 runs for 172yds TD
KC HB Jamaal Charles 10 runs for 136yds TD

TB TE Kellen Winslow 3 catches for 42yds TD
TB WR Mike Williams 2 catches for 44yds
KC WR Jonathan Baldwin 1 catch for 28yds

KC MLB Derrick Johnson 7 tackles, 2 TFL
KC FS Kendrick Lewis 4 tackles
TB DE Daquan Bowers 3 tackles, TFL, Sack
TB SS Devin McCourty 2 tackles, TFL, Sack

Mark Schlereth- Very strong day for Doug Martin. Without him, the Buccaneers don't win that game.

Week 7
Saints (3-2) @ Buccaneers (4-1)

Many people are wondering when will the Buccaneers come back to Earth. Most think it will be this week.

The Saints start with the ball, but are forced to punt. The Buccaneers go three and out and punt as well. Another big stand by the Tampa defense gives them one more shot in the 1st quarter. The offense doesn't disappoint. QB Josh Freeman hits TE Kellen Winslow for a 4yd TD.

NO 0 TB 7 in the 1st

The Saints come back with a TD from QB Drew Brees to WR Marques Colston.

NO 7 TB 7 in the 2nd

A fumble by HB Doug Martin gives the ball back to the Saints and QB Drew Brees makes the most of it when he hits WR Lance Moore for a 31yd TD.

NO 14 TB 7 in the 2nd

An interception by QB Josh Freeman gives the Saints another chance for points in the 1st half and they grab 3 more when rookie K Justin Tucker nails a 37yd FG.

NO 17 TB 7 in the 2nd with 18 seconds remaining

With time out and down by 10, Coach Joslin tells QB Josh Freeman to air it out. Freeman throws a beautiful arcing pass that drops right into WR Terrell Owens hands as he runs into the endzone, a defender in front of him and behind him.

NO 17 TB 14 at the half

The Buccaneers defense comes out like rabid dogs in the 2nd half and proves to be more than the Saints can handle.

Neither team scores in the 3rd.

The Buccaneers score first in the 4th when QB Josh Freeman hits WR Chad Johnson for a 20yd TD.

NO 17 TB 21 in the 4th

Tampa forces a punt and the offense marches down the field and when faced with the choice of going for a short FG on 4th and 3 or on going for it, they go for it. QB Josh Freeman hits TE Kellen Winslow for the TD.

NO 17 TB 28 in the 4th

With less than two minutes remaining in the game and down by 11pts, the Saints are going to have to rely on QB Drew Brees' strong arm and everyone knows it. Coach Joslin sends blitzers on every down and Brees is completely flustered. First down, Brees sacked for a loss of 6yds. Saints @ 14yd line. Second down, Brees sacked for a loss of 10yds. Saints at the 4yd line. Third down, Brees gets the pass off, it is long enough, but WR Lance Moore catches it out of bounds. Fourth down at the 4, Drew Brees drops back, DT Marcus Thomas breaks through the line. QB Brees is in the endzone, he runs right to get away from Thomas only to see SS Devin McCourty. Brees jukes back to avoid him, only to run into Thomas. Safety!

NO 17 TB 30 Final!

Statistics

TB QB Josh Freeman 11/23 for 277yds, 4TDs, INT
NO QB Drew Brees 11/23 for 175yds 2TDs

TB HB Doug Martin 10 runs for 35yds
NO HB Darren Sproles 9 runs for 35yds

TB WR Terrell Owens 4 catches for 161yds TD
TB TE Kellen Winslow 3 catches for 28yds 2TDs
TB WR Chad Johnson 2 catches for 30yds TD
NO WR Devery Henderson 3 catches for 37yds
NO WR Marques Colston 3 catches for 56yds

TB SS Devin McCourty 7 tackles, 4 TFL, 4 Sacks
TB OLB Lavonte David 4 tackles, TFL, Sack
NO OLB David Hawthorne 4 tackles, 2 TFL, Sack
NO DE Will Smith 2 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 Sacks

Ross Tucker- No hyperbole necessary. Buccaneers had the best defensive front in the NFL this week. 8 sacks proves it.

Adam Schefter- Tampa Bay will be without one of their top guys in Terrell Owns for at least a couple of weeks.

Rush the Passer-The Buccaneers defense tore apart QB Drew Brees, sacking him 8 times in a 30-17 win.

Scary Scene for Buccaneers- Even if it is just for a couple of games, losing Terrell Owens is a troubling situation for the Buccaneers.

Week 8
Buccaneers (5-1) @ Vikings (4-3)

The Vikings have the ball first, but not for long. QB Vince Young drops back, he's under pressure, throws, TB SS Devin McCourty jumps the route and intercepts the ball. It is clear sailing all the way into the endzone. TD Buccaneers!

TB 7 MIN 0 in the 1st

Tampa forces a punt and gets the ball back on offense. So far this one is looking to be an easy win for Tampa Bay. QB Josh Freeman and HB Doug Martin are having no problem moving the team down the field in the air and on the ground. In the redzone, QB Freeman hits TE Kellen Winslow for the TD pass, but Winslow is hit as he crosses the goal line and fumbles the ball. Vikings recover!

The Vikings march all the way down the field, but have to settle for a FG by rookie K, Blair Walsh.

TB 7 MIN 3 in the 1st

Rookie HB Doug Martin busts a 50yd run for a TD to extend the Bucs lead.

TB 14 MIN 3 in the 2nd

The Vikings respond with their own 50yd TD run. HB Adrian Peterson shows his stuff breaking tackles and then accelerating past defenders to keep Minnesota in this one.

TB 14 MIN 10 in the 2nd

With less than a minute remaining the Bucs throw themselves down the field into FG range. K Garrett Hartley shanks the 33yd FG.

TB 14 MIN 10 at the half

The Bucs start the 2nd half with the ball but the Vikings defense isn't letting them get close. Bucs punt.

The Vikings aren't having any luck themselves and have to punt as well.

Tampa finally manages to get some points on the board when K Garrett Hartley nails a 50yd FG.

TB 17 MIN 10 in the 3rd

The Vikings come roaring back in the 4th. QB Vince Young dodges a sack by SS Devin McCourty and then hits WR Percy Harvin for a 47yd TD! All tied up with just over 3 minutes to play.

TB 17 MIN 17 in the 4th

The Vikings defense does their part, sacking QB Josh Freeman two times and swatting down a pass, forcing a punt.

Minnesota runs the clock with HB Adrian Peterson while getting themselves into scoring range. Vikings take the lead with a K, Blair Walsh 30yd FG.

TB 17 MIN 20 with 53 seconds remaining.

The Bucs have all their timeouts, but not a lot of time. WR Aurrelious Benn drops a sure thing TD. QB Freeman is sacked by SS Jamarca Sanford. Third and 16, on the 17yd line with only 42 seconds left and 2 time outs. Freeman hits WR Mike Williams for a 19yd gain and Williams goes out of bounds to stop the clock. 1st down at the 36yd line, 35 seconds. Freeman hits WR Vincent Jackson for 47yds. Jackson can't get out of bounds, 26 seconds, timeout, one left. 1st down, ball at the 17yd line. QB Freeman drops back no one is open, he dumps it off to his safety valve HB Doug Martin who gets 7yds. 19 seconds, timeout...last timeout. The ball is on 11yd line. Freeman drops back, WR Jackson is double covered, Freeman follows his progression and sees WR Aurelious Benn in the endzone blocking out his defender. Freeman throws. Benn catches it. TD!

TB TE Kellen Winslow 3 catches 35yds
TB WR Arrelious Benn 2 catches 49yds TD
MIN TE Kyle Rudolph 3 catches 33yds
MIN WR Percy Harvin 3 catches 86yds TD

MIN SS Jamarca Sanford 8 tackles, 3TFL, 2 Sacks
MIN FS Harrison Smith 4 tackles
TB FS Rhonde Barber 4 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 Sacks
TB SS Devin McCourty 2 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 Sacks, INT, TD

Susannah Collins- That poor Vikings quarterback! Spent more time on his back than he did upright against the Buccaneers!

Fearless Blitzers- In a 24-20 final this week, the Buccaneers defense bullied QB Vince Young by sacking him 6 times.

Chris Mortensen- The well versed Devin McCourty takes home #NFCPoW for Week 8.

Re: Buccaneers Dynasty (Madden 13 Offline CCM)

Week 9
Buccaneers (6-1) @ Raiders (3-4)

The Buccaneers have won five straight and look to continue their role in Oakland.

The Raiders start with the ball, but the Buccaneers defense forces them to punt.

Tampa moves down the field but that comes to an end when CB Phillip Adams intercepts QB Josh Freeman. Oakland turns the interception into points when K Sebastian Janikowski kicks a 41yd FG.

TB 0 OAK 3 in the 1st

Oakland's defense comes up big in the redzone, forcing Tampa to turn to K Garrett Hartley, who nails the 28yd FG.

TB 3 OAK 3 in the 2nd

QB Carson Palmer dodges two potential sacks and throws to a wide open WR Denarius Moore for a 68yd TD.

TB 3 OAK 10 in the 2nd

The Buccaneers turn to the run game and HB Doug Martin doesn't disappoint going in for a short TD run.

TB 10 OAK 10 at the half

The Buccaneer offense can't get anything going to start the 2nd half and have to punt.

Oakland turns this into another K Sebastian Janikowski FG.

TB 10 OAK 13 in the 3rd

The Bucs are driving down the field and it looks like QB Josh Freeman has an easy TD when WR Arrelious Benn pulls away from the defender on him. Freeman throws, Benns bobbles it, it flies backward, right into the hands of the waiting FS Matt Giordano,

The Raiders take advantage and add another TD. This one from QB Carson Palmer to WR Jacoby Ford.

TB 10 OAK 20 in the 3rd

Tampa is down by ten and things are looking grim. QB Josh Freeman collects himself and strings together a few successful passes to setup HB Doug Martin for his 2nd TD run.

TB 17 OAK 20 in the end of the 3rd

Tampa forces Oakland to punt, but then QB Freeman gets sacked and throws two incomplete passes to leave them 4th and 16 at the 14yd line. Tampa punts.

Oakland turns to HB Darren McFadden to eat up the clock. It seems to be working until McFadden is knocked out of the game. Mike Goodson takes over, but he's a lot easier to haul down than McFadden was. Goodson gets them into FG range, but OLB Aaron Curry comes up with a big sack, pushing the Raiders out of range, even for Janikowski. Oakland punts.

The Bucs get the ball with 43 seconds on the clock and no timeouts. Coach Joslin calls for a run on 1st down, and Martin breaks off a 14yd scamper. Hurrying to the line QB Freeman snaps the ball and sees WR Mike Williams juke his defender. Williams catches it and goes out of bounds. The ball is at the 33 with 28 seconds left in the game. QB Freeman tries to hit WR Chad Johnson over the middle. Johnson bobbles the ball and then takes a massive hit. Johnson is out of the game. 2nd down at the 33, 21 seconds on the clock. QB Freeman drops back and hits WR Arrelious Benn for 18yds. 1st down at the 15, clock at 12 and running.

The safe money is go for the FG and take it to overtime. Coach Joslin is of a different mind. He thinks he can squeeze one more try for the endzone in if his guys can get out of bounds. Joslin calls for a Corner play from the Full House set, everyone should be able to get out of bounds, and two guys have a shot at the endzone.

QB Freeman drops back, WR Mike Williams cuts left, CB DeMarcus Van **** goes right. Freeman shoots a bullet pass. Williams has it, but he's four yards out, he heads for the sideline. Van **** somehow catches him from behind and pulls him back, throwing him down in bounds! Unbelievable. With four seconds on the clock, there is no way that the Bucs can get a play off. Wait. There's a flag on the play. The ref says Van **** got the facemask. The penalty stops the clock at 4 seconds.

Coach Joslin decides to go for the kills. Power O run left, Doug Martin sees OLB Miles Burris break free, Martin turns the run wide, Burris dives and misses. WR Williams pushes his guy inside, Martin goes outside for the TD!

TB 24 OAK 20 Final!

Statistics

TB QB Josh Freeman 9/18 for 268yds 2 INTs
OAK QB Carson Palmer 5/7 for 194yds 2TDs

TB HB Doug Martin 14 runs for 56yds 3 TDs
OAK HB Darren McFadden 14 runs for 85yds

TB WR Mike Williams 4 catches for 94yds
OAK WR Darius Heyward-Bey 3 catches for 79yds
TB WR Vincent Jackson 3 catches for 125yds

TB OLB Aaron Curry 3 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 Sacks
TB FS Rhonde Barbe 3 tackles, TFL, Sack
TB DT Marcus Thomas tackle, TFL, Sack

Trey Wingo- There should be a Doug Martin-branded hammer. No one wants to get in his way.

D. Martin Puts On A Show- 3 Rushing TDs for Doug Martin helped lead the Buccaneers to a 24-20 victory over the Raiders.

SD 0 TB 7 in the 1st

QB Phillip Rivers responds with a 53yd strike to WR Malcolm Floyd.

SD 7 TB 7 in the 1st

The Buccaneers are dinking and dunking their way down the field, until QB Josh Freeman tries to hit HB Doug Martin over the middle. MLB Takeo Spikes steps in front of the pass and makes the interception.

The Chargers however can't do anything with the ball and have to punt.

The Bucs are a little more cautious this time around and it pays off with a 3yd TD to TE Kellen Winslow.

SD 7 TB 14 in the 2nd

San Diego has some luck on the ground with HB Ryan Matthews, but in the end they come up short on a crucial 3rd down conversion. Chargers punt.

With time running out, the Buccaneers want to put the Chargers into a hole they can't dig out of. QB Freeman hits WR Terrell Owens for another TD.

SD 7 TB 21 at the half

The Chargers catch a break when they force the Buccaneers to punt. They keep the momentum going with a 61yd TD run. The Chargers are still in this one folks.

SD 14 TB 21 in the 3rd

With a 7pt lead and about 7 minutes left in the game, Tampa wants to run the clock and get at least one more score to keep this one out of reach for Rivers and the Chargers. To do this, they turn to HB Doug Martin. Martin continues to make his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year with another TD.

SD 14 TB 28 in the 3rd

The Tampa defense comes up big, with FS Rhonde Barber and SS Devin McCourty sacking QB Phillip Rivers to force a punt.

The Buccaneers give the ball to HB Doug Martin to run the clock. He takes the clock all the way down to 37 seconds and then does one step better, when he adds another TD.

SD 14 TB 35 in the 4th

The Chargers are for all intents and purposes out of this one. QB Rivers still wants to see if he can't pass his way to another score. He can't. SS Devin McCourty finishes the game with another Sack.

SD 14 TB 35 Final

Statistics

TB QB Josh Freeman 12/17 for 243yds, 3TDs, INT

TB SS Devin McCourty 7 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks
SD OLB Jarrett Johnson 5 tackles
SD DE Antonio Garay 2 tackles, TFL, Sack
TB FS Rhonde Barber 2 tackles, TFL, Sack

Ross Tucker- I know Terrell Owens will play this week, but still wonder if he's 100%.

Ready and Raring- Terrell Owens is healthy again, so he'll be looking to add to his legacy the next time the Buccaneers take the field.

Paydirt Machine- Doug Martin ran for 2 TDs during the Buccaneers' 35-14 win over the Chargers.

Home Cookin' - The Buccaneers answered the call at home and came away with a victory over the Chargers today.

Adam Schefter- Buccaneers fans never doubted. They were in full throttle throughout this one.

Skip Bayless- Whenever I see the Buccaneers run, I always think: he's great, but he could be BETTER. Today he was better.

Ross Tucker- 1000-yd rushers aren't what they used to be, but it's not like you don't want D. Martin on your team.
