Re: Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story

Gameday Recap: Bowling Green 33, Miami (OH) 13
Just Another Fun Day in the Snow for Falcons

HB Anthon Samuel scores one of his TD's on the day in the second quarter

Bowling Green played a near flawless game. No turnovers, no bad plays on defense. Everything was in tune. They pounded the ball on the ground consistently, as the snow came down hard all night. Miami, on the other hand, had some flaws in their game. They dropped 7 passes, and couldn't get the running game going at all, which is useful in bad weather. Tack on a safety, and it all led to a 33-13 win for the Falcons, who now have strong grip on the MAC East, up basically 2 games with 3 to play.

Re: Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story

Gameday Recap: Ohio 35, Bowling Green 28
Falcons Let One Slip Away with Poor Defense and Turnovers

Herve Coby's extra effort on this TD wasn't enough to save the day

Well, the Falcons could not stop the run whatsoever. The Bobcats ran all over them all day, and the Falcons couldn't come back because of 3 very bad and very costly INT's from Matt Schilz, playing in his final game at the Doyt. The Falcons had a chance to tie with over a minute left, but Teo Redding couldn't hold on to the pass from Schilz, and the Falcons turned it over on downs to seal the deal.

Falcons Gameday Preview: Week 13

Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti, Michigan, is the site for this one.

After last week's shocker, this one shouldn't be close. The Eagles are coming in at 0-10, and are ranked 110th in total defense. Expect a field day for Schilz and the Falcon offense. Coach Freday isn't overlooking Eastern Michigan, however.

Gameday Recap: Bowling Green 31, Eastern Michigan 17
Schilz takes matters into his own hands, leads angry Falcons to victory

Matt Schilz scores the game sealing TD with over 2 minutes left in the game

Schilz played much better today, not throwing any INT's, and not getting sacked. The Falcons as a whole came in angry off their loss to Ohio last week, and after a slow start, got the job done against the 0-11 Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Falcons found out after the game that they had secured a spot in the MAC Championship Game against Northern Illinois after Miami's loss to Buffalo.
