Re: Smoky Mountain Blues | A Tennessee Titans Dynasty (Madden 15)
Excellent start to the season and Kenney's career. Hopefully the run game will pick up some. The touchdowns were nice but the averages were a little low. Should be a win this week against Tampa Bay. Good luck!

Mistakes Lead To Loss Against Tampa Bay
Tennessee Titans 10 - 13 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When you start a rookie at any position then you expect the occasional mistake, unfortunately for Tennessee that mistake came when they were mere seconds away from taking a difficult away game to overtime. With 12 seconds left on the clock, the team at the 9 yard line and no timeouts there was only one shot to make the endzone before setting up for a field goal to tie everything up. The pass went wide and straight into the open arms of Laron Landry, ending the game. After the game Tennessee head coach Robert Stock said that he didn't blame Kenny, just the wrong call was made on the sidelines.
Up until that point Kenny had had a good game, he struggled with Tampa's coverage scheme in the first half but eventually found his footing, through his 2 favorite targets fullback Benjamin Fuller and tight end Rob Housler. In the drive leading upto the interception he brought the Titans from their own 3 yard line with a series of big passes and he looked sure to find that one last open receiver for the win. Bishop Sankey struggled again in the running game, still not picking up 4 yards per carry, although rookie Quay Bynes improved a lot from his first game and he scored the only touchdown of the game for Tennessee.
Tampa Bay were dealt a nasty blow when Mike Glennon went down injured at the start of the second half. The team confirmed that Glennon had suffered an abdominal tear and would miss about 4-5 weeks through the injury. This forced Mike Kafka, who was only really brought in to hold the clipboard, onto the field. Kafka did well but the team lacked a cutting edge that left them with only a field goal in the second half. The Buccaneers best player was Doug Martin who took apart the Tennessee rushing defense on an unbelievable 99 yard touchdown run at the end of the first half.

Game Notes
Sep 27 - This is the 2nd game of the 3 game road trip for the Titans and their first divisional game of the year. They will be hoping for a better result than last week when they lost to a struggling Tampa Bay team. Fullback Benjamin Fuller has been the surprise of the season so far for the Titans.
The Colts will be looking to build on the momentum they gained with a big road win last week against the Dolphins but they have suffered a lot of injuries, especially on defense, which might make them a little fragile against the run.

Titans Fight Back In Comeback Win
Tennessee Titans 23 - 21 Indianapolis Colts
Rookie quarterback Dwight Kenny earned his first forth quarter comeback this week as he drove down the field in the dying seconds before the boot of Mike Nugent ended the game. It was eerily similar to the game against Tampa Bay the week before and Titans fans watched with baited breath, hoping to avoid a repeat of that loss. Instead they were treated to the end of a 7 game losing streak against the Colts and the team's second win of the year, something that it took 14 weeks to achieve last season. Despite not scoring a touchdown Kenny was the star of the game and it bodes well for a young player to be able to bounce back from a critical error.
Once again the offense moved through the hulking figures of Benjamin Fuller and Rob Housler, the former leading the team in catches for the 3rd straight game. It has been very surprising how little the Titans have utilized their wide receivers, instead preferring to distribute the passing between fullback, tight end and running backs and using the wide receivers to create the space for the big men across the middle. The running game stuttered again, although this time less so because of Bishop Sankey who ran well until a bruised finger took him out of the game. Quay Bynes proved that, at the moment at least, he is more effective as a part-time player than a workhorse back.
For the second week running the Tennessee run defense seemed to collapse at the worst possible moment, giving up 2 long rushing touchdowns to Trent Richardson, which fueled the Colts lead. The Titans defense also got beaten deep over the middle when Luck found rookie Trovon Knox for a 55 yard touchdown. Tennessee did manage to keep a lid on things apart from that though, shutting down the rest of the passing game with Will Blackmon picking off his 2nd pass of the year. If they could limit the mistakes and catastrophic run defense errors then this could be a dangerous defense, but there is a lot of work to do.
