Reece Davis: Welcome to a new season of College Gameday, I'm Reece Davis joined by Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, David Pollock & Kirk Herbstreit. We are Live just outside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas

where the Stanford Cardinal and Texas A&M Aggies are set to do battle tonight in Jerry World. So guys let's get to it guys. What are you looking forward to in this weeks slate of games.

Pollock: Well Reece I'm looking to see how our defending National Champions come out as Colorado takes on Colorado State. The Buffaloes gotta replace some Dudes.

Desmond: I'm looking forward to seeing the team Colorado beat for that title and whether Mississippi State can get on the right track to making a title this year and Michigan State on opening week is gonna give us a slight glimpse of that.

Corso: I wanna know if Georgia can make the SEC East theirs and they can make a Statement tonight vs Ole Miss.

Herbie: I wanna see how Stanford is gonna handle the spotlight last year they failed miserably vs Colorado twice. Can the Cardinal handle the big time.

Reece: Ok guys well it's the time These fans have been waiting for let's make some picks.

1st up Utah State at Utah

Pollock: Utah State
Desmond: I'll take the Aggies too
Corso: not so fast my friend, Utah close
Herbie: Utah State

Reece: ok everyone but Corso is high on the Aggies
On to our 2nd game
Kansas State at SMU

Pollock: K-State not close
Desmond: Yeah the Wildcats Big!!!
Corso: K-State by 2TDs
Herbie: SMU just doesn't have the talent K-State Big

Reece: Everyone with the Cats Ok onto
Georgia @ Ole Miss

Pollock: Gotta go with my Dawgs baby
Desmond: Ole Miss has talent but UGA is just too much, Georgia
Corso: Dawgs
Herbie: I think Ole Miss at home gets the job Done, Rebels

Reece: Herbie goes on a limb all right
Colorado vs Colorado State from Denver

Pollock: Buffaloes
Desmond: Buffaloes
Corso: Buffaloes
Herbie: Buffaloes

Reece: No surprises there.
Michigan State @ Mississippi State

Pollock: Spartans too much
Desmond: Bulldogs
Corso: Bulldogs close
Herbie: In Starkville, Bulldogs by a FG

Reece: Now what fans have been waiting for Stanford comes in off a disappointing season with 2 losses to Colorado while A&M wants to represent in their home state let's get the picks

Pollock: Stanford usually handles the spread well but A&M gets it done in a de facto home game
Desmond: Aggies spread the Cardinal out and win late
Reece: Herbie calls the game but give us a key
Herbie: Aggies Offense vs Cardinal Defense tells the story tonight
Reece and now Mr. Corso is ready to make his pick.
Corso: Stanford vs Texas A&M is a big matchup and Stanford should be good but I'm gonna have to pick with my heart over my head. It's the Aggies!

Reece: Welcome to a Raucous Death Valley in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

for College Gameday as we get ready to kick off Week 2 of the College Football Season. I'm here with all the usual characters, David Pollock, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso & Kirk Herbstreit.

Well guys we had a partial slate last week but this week is a full slate of Games. What do y'all look forward to seeing today.

Pollack: I look forward to a big time game in Athens, Georgia can UGA win or will South Carolina pull out a W as the favorite.

Desmond: I'm looking forward to seeing if Vandy is on ready for Death Valley

Corso: Can teams playing massive underdogs do what they're supposed too.

Herbie: Can the teams who did play Week 1 and lost right the ship or do they falter again.

Reece: All good things to keep a eye on. Well it's the Time these fans wait for let's get to the Selections. 1st up Baylor visits Wisconsin in a Big 12/Big10 matchup.

Pollock: Badgers have the Defense and the Win.

Desmond: Baylor will spread Wisky out but the Badgers wear em down late and Win.

Corso: Good Pick, Good Pick Badgers by 2 TDs

Herbie: I like Baylor spreading out Wisconsin and out scoring the Badgers

Corso: Ohh Not so fast my Friend

Reece: Alright, that's 3 for the Badgers 1 for the Bears. On to our 2nd Game, Kansas visits Iowa in another Big 10/Big 12 showdown.

Pollock: Its in Des Moines but the Jayhawks make a Statement and win.

Desmond: Iowa, close

Corso: Jayhawks, by 2 FGs

Herbie: is this Basketball or Football..

Reece: Football

Herbie: I'll go Hawkeyes then.

Reece: Ok no love from Herbie for Kansas. Alright up next Notre Dame @ GT.

Pollock: Irish

Desmond: I like the Yellow Jackets to grind it out.

Corso: Notre Dame has a lot to prove they can do a little here. Irish by 2 TDs.

Herbie: Notre Dame seems further along. I'll go Irish.

Reece: Ok from the Irish to the Canes, Miami visits Colorado in a hopeful revenge game for the U.

Pollock: Miami, Colorado has a lot to prove and this is better competition than Colorado State

Desmond: Too many Athletes, I'm going The U.

Corso: Not so fast my Friend, Colorado grinds em down. Buffaloes BIG!!!

Herbie: I'm not sold on Colorado yet, Miami by a FG or less.

Reece: Ok a top 10 goes down there to a unranked according to the Guys. Next in a SEC East vs West Matchup Miss State @ Vandy

Pollock: Miss St BIG!!

Desmond: Yeah Bulldogs are too much.

Corso: Good Pick, Bulldogs BIG!!

Herbie: Vandy has Home field, but Miss St is more talented Bulldogs win.

Reece: Alright. Well onto the matchup these fans have been waiting to patiently for. Missouri brings a top 10 ranking to Baton Rouge for a Battle of Tigers but the Homestanding Bayou Bengals wanna make a Statement and prove they're a threat to win the SEC. Who y'all got, Herbie is calling the game so no pick just keys to the game from him.

Pollock: LSU plays better D Bayou Bengals.

Desmond:I think the Gold and Black Tigers steal one tonight.

Herbie: Whoever plays better in the trenches wins this, LSU is supposed to be one of the Best D-Lines in the nation and they go against a highly touted Missouri O-Line, winner of that battle wins the game.

Corso: Y'all know I like coming to Baton Rouge, and LSU has been a favorite of mine we have been here often. Has Missouri ever been a selection of mine. Where's that Mizzou Tiger head... ahhh Give me that LSU head.

Reece: I'm Reece Davis here on Campus in Starkville, Mississippi

where tonight Mississippi State hosts Auburn. Joining me today is the usual cast David Pollock, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso & Kirk Herbstreit.

With the first full week in the books what are your guys biggest takeaways.

Pollock: Looks like the SEC is gonna be exciting to watch this year.

Desmond: My biggest takeaway so far is Colorado might be the class of the Pac 12, the Buffs look strong

Corso: Who will emerge in the ACC somebody gets that bid will it be FSU, Louisville, Clemson or is there a surprise around team waiting to emerge

Herbie: I'm looking to the Big 12, right now Kansas & TCU seem to be the two teams to watch but you can't sleep on OU and Texas

Reece: Ok well all valid points and we still have so much to look forward too, let's get onto our Saturday Selections. Our First matchup is a Pac 12 Battle that could be a preview of the Pac 12 title in December.

Pollock: Washington is home but USC has the Athletes, Trojans by a TD

Desmond: I think Washington has just enough. Huskies in a close one.

Corso: Not so fast my friend, USC by a FG late

Herbie: I'm with Desmond Washington but barely

Reece: Ok split there, onto Louisville @ Kentucky

Pollock: Louisville

Desmond: Louisville

Corso: Good Pick, Louisville

Herbie: Kentucky puts up a fight but Louisville pulls away late

Reece: Unanimous there, onto Wisconsin @ Michigan

Pollock: Wisconsin is talented but Michigan is too much

Desmond: Michigan at home and they're the better team, Wolverines by 2 scores

Corso: Michigan

Herbie: Michigan

Reece: Ok seems we're all agreeing today. Next up TCU @ Texas Tech.

Pollock: Tech is at Home but TCU rolls

Desmond: Tech can score I'll take the Red Raiders in a upset

Corso: Not So fast my Friend. TCU BIG!!!

Herbie: Yeah TCU has too much defense. Horned Frogs big

Reece: Alright a little disagreement there, LSU @ Tennessee is next

Pollock: LSU

Desmond: I'm taking LSU as well

Corso: Good pick, LSU

Herbie: LSU too much Defense and just enough Offense

Reece: Alright now for the matchup we've had these fans waiting for. #2 Mississippi State host Auburn in a Division Battle that could shape the year for each team. Herbie has the call so no Prediction from him.

Pollock: Auburn even though the underdog gets it done.

Desmond: I think Mississippi State will feed off this crowd and wins a big division game.

Herbie: This game likely comes down to how Auburn handles the pressure of being on the Road.

Reece: And now Mr. Corso will either make this crowd happy or angry in a minute

Corso: This game should be a battle and here in Starkville they love they're Bulldogs this ones a tough one I'm gonna have to pick...

Auburn!!! War Eagle!!!

Let's hear your picks guys. Herbie as always is on the call so just a key from him

Pollock: Penn State has a good enough team and I think they get the Job done, Nittany Lions.

Desmond: People don't just go into Madison and win, Wisconsin in a defensive struggle

Herbie: Penn State O-Line vs Wisconsin D-Line is the key whichever team wins there wins the game.
